So, the whole Ricky saga has started up again. Over the last twenty-four hours or so, there has been incessant, hysterical press speculation; ranging from he's going to Real for 65m Euros and a 9m salary, to Chelsea jumping in to offer more, to the Uncles (and Bosco) deciding they want 80m and a 12m salary PLUS two Real players of their choice, to ( Read more... )

I would suggest you ignore all the stories until it's official, but I know that'd be wasting my breath and your reading time, so I won't. :p That said, I do quite like the suggestion of transfers turning into "We'll give you one of ours, and then we get to come over and pick out the ones we like of yours!" (The Zlatan leaving thing is sounding better and better ... )

ETA: I was sure this was in your LJ, hence the a)suggestion to ignore scary Milan!news, and b)my confusion about all the pictures. *bangs head on the wall* Don't mind me.

*indignant* I SAID THAT! THAT'S WHAT I AM DOING!* Well, at least it's what I'm trying to do. My stupid finger insists on pressing f5 on the news sites every ten minutes or so, though. But, then I can ignore it all the more, y/y? *g*

I know! Who do they think they are? 'OK, you can have him, but we want an additional 15m, AND we want to come and take our pick of your team. No, not that one, he's not Brazilian got crap hair.'

* By which incredible rudeness I mean, of course, thank you for thinking of my wellbeing. ;)

ETA: Don't lie, I know you like to hang round here with us cool kids.

*laughs and laughs* This is all just making you VERY TENSE, isn't it? *grin*

What would be really hilarious is if they went and picked out the oldest, non-Raul ones they could find. Just on principle, you know?

ETA: Pah. Cool kids? I see no cool kids! Bonera's dead, Brocchi's gone ... All I've got left is Clarence! :p

I may be tense, but I am NOT FLAPPING. No. I'm not. *firm nod*

[Me, I'm just dreading them coming home with Sergio Sodding Ramos. Anyone but him.]

ETA: Hmmm. That's what you say. ;p

*sigh* I know he was reported to have said that - but he's also been reported has having said he'd like to play elsewhere. There is just SO MUCH speculation about this, and so many incidents of people being taken out of context, it really is almost impossible to find a way to what is actually going on.

I hope he doesn't go - and, I agree with you, I don't think he wants to. It's just, what if it's something he gets pushed into?

Leo won't let him go, though, will he?

I can't help thinking this is a pre-emptive shot across the bows from the Uncles. 'Yes, I know you brought the kid in, and he's been fantastic, and all that, but YOU NEEDN'T GO THINKING YOU'RE IN CHARGE, we can sell who we like!'

...and, when I'm not thinking that, I'm thinking that the whole thing's a fucking publicity stunt for Berlusconi to make him look like he cares, and listens, ahead of the polls.

Damn you, Milan, for making me so cynical.

Second-guessing is our middle name. Man, I hope Leo smashes all their noses for them. Or wins a fucking scudetto. That would be nice, too.

I can't stop looking into his eyes. They're so -- limpid.

*sighs* I hate it, Nol. I know it's my own fault for checking news sites and all, but I really wish they'd keep their traps shut until they have actual, factual NEWS to report. It's so exhausting, trying to analyse everything.

Inorite. *gazes some more*

I find all of this so amusing, mostly because the news goes like "And AS newspaper thought" and "Mundo Deportivo reported" and so on, all Spanish papers. Especially AS, it lives to make Real Madrid look shiny and capable of bringing Ricky to Madrid -- they did it last time. It's their thing.

Also? ): I like reassuring myself with such false hope.

Hee, and what made me snigger more was that AS are now saying it's the English and Italian press making big deal out of it all! Oh, you silly journos.

I like hope. False, or otherwise. Hope keeps me going.

AS is amazing, you wouldn't believe it. Back then, when Ronaldo had "issues", they linked him with Milan, mainly because Real wanted a defender and Sandro was of sparkling at that time. Of course, it didn't happen, BUT THEY MADE IT SOUND SO. I wonder how much Real pays them, hmm.

Oh, and an Inter fan has been telling me how "girly" and "not a man" our new coach is, hmph.

I suppose I'm naive, but I do wonder how they can get away with fabricating stuff like that.

Meh, what would Inter fans know about hot coaches?! *g*
