LOL I couldn't help it, I love an epic moment and Martin was EPIC!!!

You missed it?! Oh man that sucks! The second half was pretty crazy with the rain, and the equalizer and then Martin scoring the winning goal in the dying minutes of extra time.

I have read all about it and the game sounds like it was truly awesome!

In lots of discussions prior to the game so many ppl wondered what Maradona was doing, calling up 'old' players like Palermo, or new ones not previously called up. Maybe the reason was the sheer desire to win. Maybe that made the difference. Maybe he interviewed each player he was considering and chose the ones with the most desire!

Anyway, whatever he did worked. However, Peru sucks big-time, so that win should have been easy. Uruguay will be much more difficult and yet either team is capable of winning, so we will see what happens on Wednesday!

Thanks for these gorgeous pics! So glad they won the match - and even more glad that Higuaín scored in his first match! Very deserved, I must say, and I hope it made Maradona regret not having called him up earlier!

Thanks so much! I swear I'll comment on your other picspams as well, but it'll take some time, I'm still not entirely recovered from this annoying virus. :/

Don't worry about being late with comments, etc. I am frequently horrendously late with mine also! It's a relief to see I am not the only one! LOL.
