Thanks for the memories...

For me the FB/twitter thing was just a mild annoyance, and I found it kinda interesting to see the uproar among users. But one thing it did do was make me nervous about what possible changes may be coming down the road. Not just with this site, but with the internets in general. I would hate to have anything in my RL effected or jeopardized by ( Read more... )

Oo, gorgeous Tori icon.

I don't think it's something the average user has to worry about. I'm just concerned that my real (and unusual) name has been associated with this journal. So, figured better safe than sorry.

Ah, so you want to keep your RL separate from LJ , I get that .

So, I'm gonna go with: smart plan. Buuuut... I do have a question. Locked like f-locked or 'just you' locked? Not that I know why I'm even asking since, y'know DW.

(Wow, that was more incoherent than usual. I've clearly been spending too much time in a certain ex-governor's head lately :P)

You brought the Palin over here? :D Yay!

Locked like me and me alone locked. Not deleted but "Private". The deed is done. I'm just trying to go back now and clean up the various communities. But, I think that will take some time.

Of course I did. On several occasions i've very nearly outed my palin love at comm talk with the icons. I'm not ashamed. I just set up twitter to text me her tweets *needs help*

You're doing the comms too? Up to you, of course, but I wonder If that's maybe a little over-cautious? Have you tried a google search to see what happens? If that's what you wanna do though, I can always help make it a little less time If you want me to do e_l for you. I'm pretty sure I should be able to delete/lock those posts for you If you want.

Naw, thanks though. It's not like I have to do it today.

I'm not so much worried about the average person finding this stuff. It's more corporate background check software and such. I think I might be shocked at what they can find. And if they wouldn't see it now, maybe in the future, and if never *shrug* at least I have a clear conscience.

Completely understand. Thanks for bringing your writing into this public forum. Yours was some of the first fanfiction that I read. Take care, good luck, and I do hope to see you around.

Cool, I didn't know. I remember when I first found fanfic, it was exciting in a little way.

I'll definitely still be around. Nosing to hear what you guys are up to, at comm talk and what not.

Ah sad. Taking a side trip into the past here, wanted to be sure you knew that Michelle Norris has a new memoir out this fall. yeah she's going to be on tour. In person she is sorta stunning.

Sad indeed. The whole reason I started this journal was to read and then write fic. I'm just glad I feel like I still have places where I can do that.

Yay, something to add to my Christmas book list. I haven't heard of much nonfiction I'm keen to read this year.

Now when I think of this your fanfic was the first one I've read. At least when it comes to 'Callica'. But it was on old callica forum, not here. Anyway it's sad news but I'm glad you want to stay around with us. :-D
