Long Week
It seems like it has been a while. Lost password, old email address that needed reset, and life. I just got back from a week in Hawaii with my girlfriends family. It was awesome! Now she is back in New Jersey for the week spending time with the rest of her family while I came home and had to get back to work. I hate being here alone. I have ( Read more... ) -

Off to NYC today. Hope we don't get lost. Seriously, from NJ to NYC, it's like 15 miles? Last time we came back on the wrong bus and had to call for a ride. We'll see how it goes.

Another long day...
I wish I could stay home and watch football today. Instead I am spending the day traveling to Idaho for recruitment. All day flying, then a 30 minute drive late at night. Plus I have an early day tomorrow. Grrr. My only saving grace is I have been upgraded to first class.

Super Bowl!!!!
It's been a while, but it might be a bit therapeutic to write, or not, we'll see.
For Christmas I got my gf tickets to the Super Bowl and airline tickets to New Jersey. We will stay with her parents and she only had to work out how we are getting to the game. But since I want to go into the city on Saturday, she cannot quite figure the easiest ( Read more... ) -

I am finally back from Canada and the Olympic/Paralympic games. It was a very long and trying two months. It's been hard to decompress from everything, and kind of divorce myself from everything. Okay, so here I am in Vancouver! I guess I made my decision about which job to take. Today is my first day of actual work in 4 months. Granted, if I wanted to work I could have, but these are my retirement months, and I look forward to having them off. I am actually looking forward to getting back to work. Oh my, what a day!! I was out late last night watching the northern lights! I actually had to set my alarm to get up in time to watch the football games. Granted the first one started at 11:00am, but I still needed an alarm. Oh well. Needless to say, the Jets didn't win, but the Saints did. I am still in limboland. Under normal conditions I would be climbing the walls by now, but as I am sitting here on the sofa with Maddy molded to me sleeping, I am pretty content. Her head is propped up on my leg and it is so cute. And, my roommate will also be going to the Olympics, along with a couple of other friends!! They are going for ( Read more... )
