Oh, Mark Rudd. What am I going to do with you?

I've been reading his most recent memoir, Underground: My Life With SDS and The Weathermen. And reading it, I've been very annoyed with Mark Rudd. Mainly I've been annoyed by his lack of responsibility for his own actions, like, ever. The book is story after story about how he was just naïve; young, ( Read more... )

When it comes to *anything* to more-radical-than-thou people, it's all about them and the Movement. Including sex. Sometimes *especially* sex.

Roberta Gregory's Naughty Bits has a very good scene where Midge meets the campus radicals, and they give her the important duty of making coffee for them.

I'd like to think that change comes from people talking to others in bars, coffeeshops, church potlucks, etc. not from people being more radical than thou. But that's just me as an incrementalist liberal talking...

Actually, this post, pretty much as is is perfect. I'd just need the ISBN and whatever biographical information you want included.

Or you could write me another one. I like having a variety of views and all.

I'm not sure which one you need, but:

ISBN-10: 0061472751
ISBN-13: 978-0061472756

And as for me ... er, uh? I dunno. What sort of biographical information do people typically give?
