I'm just glad he didn't find anything slashy. That's not something that I care to talk to my father about. I can just imagine that conversation: "Yeah, so, um, Dad, I really find the idea of two guys, you know, together, um, really kind of hot."

Yeah, not a conversation that I want to have.

Well atleast he didn't get to far into the material and you were able to cover with the lies. It sucks when someone invades your privacy especially with something as personal as your slash emails and writings. I get nervous everytime my dad uses my computer to play solitaire when he comes here for a visit. If he read my stuff he would die.

I got a call from IT at work once and they left a message on my phone for me to call them. I near died.. images of them tracking the sites and stories that I print off were flooding my mind... I called with a fabricated lie all ready but all they wanted was to see if I was going to be around so they could install a new program.

I'm thinking I will have to sign up for one. Once I have some free time I will try to figure it out and how it works etc. Unfortunately my father's computer illiteracy is somewhat genetic. :)

They're really not that hard, actually. (At least not the basics.) While I still don't have all the finer points mastered, I can navigate around pretty well. Hope you try it out!

I totally know the feeling. I minimized some slash I was reading and let my mom use my comp to check her email. She finished with her email then opened up what I had minimized and read it aloud--we were at my grandparents' house to boot!

It happened to be scrolled to some NC-17 dialog at the time X( I was so pissed at her, just like you are with your dad ^^ I just need to be smarter next time and x out. *sigh* Parents suck, it is a fact of life.
