I got a little overzealous with Excel and then added some text and then decided that this livejournal wasn't quite the target audience for my babbling on this particular topic. So I sent it to GeekaChicas, who put it up yesterday. They even left the terrible pun in the title. *grin*
It is amazing how little snow is required to shut down this whole rammed town. We are on day 2 of everything being closed. Even UPS wasn't willing to brave my street yesterday. Or maybe the driver just really wants to read Bitter Seeds

Back from our 2 week trip to China. Had a great time and still feel a bit jet lagged. Had a vendor at the Silk Market in Beijing tell me. "you look like a sophisticated lady. Want to buy a track suit?"
Also, fried scorpions are good.
When I am less tired I'll try to write up a more detailed account.
That's the acronym for yesterday's Wine over Water at Chattanooga and not an indication of a new gaming addiction. This is the third one we've attended, and I think it paid off well in terms of information gathering

The great thing about project runway is that all of the contestants are talented, driven people trying to make a career for themselves. There's an aspect of comradery and mentorship even with competition

Yesterday I accepted a job offer and resigned from my current job. Today, the boss sent out a mass email announcing this and reassigning all my projects. So far I have gotten several congratulations, one "this is shocking," one thank you for pulling a project out of the fire before leaving, and one cussing out.
