The Fledgling warned them to carry only weapons they can hide: the city is even more nervous and twitchy with the epidemic and an extra helping of violence.

The last thing they need is undue attention from authorities.

The aura of the Fledgling's world heightens Annabelle's usual wariness, a subtle shift in her stance that speaks of a readiness for trouble.

The bag over her shoulder LOOKS innocent enough, at least so long as no one opens it.

Different... well, less people on the streets, considering the mild weather.

The Fledgling glanes around, then turns left and starts walking. "Jezebel Locke. The Empire Arms Hotel." Obviously, that's where she's leading the group.

Ah, the city fauna: gang members, posers and prostitutes, the young wealthy and the destitute old, in small numbers but present, clustered around bars and dance clubs. Some watch the small group go by, but none move to interrupt or intercept.
