Hm.

On Goldsickle's rather unfortunately-titled thread "If You're Malaysian, You Automatically SuckThe content of the initial post is actually quite reasonable, and I can imagine the frustration involved. I would not assume that what built up to the rant was only a response from just one person, and as far as I see he did not infer such a thing ( Read more... )

That thread REALLY invokes some deep thoughts in me that i never did bother to rethink about, which is good IMO :/ Tho the title is.. pretty offensive.. which i don't think goldsickle really meant it or something.

Most of the thread is a learning experience! We need to ask these kinds of questions more, and then hopefully the Jabatan Pendidikan will stop forcing those awful Critical Thinking questions on us.

I actually enjoy looking at any kind of art that has a decent standard - I mean, if they're just doing it for the sake of entertainment then by all means go ahead with the cutesey style.

Not to say that certain styles are not worth as much as others.. Personally I'd suggest that anyone interested in actually getting into the industry seriously research different styles from different parts of the world, both stylised and realistic. Well-rounded is good ;)

But yeah, teh internet = serious business lolz. *goes minds my own business*
