Dean has a tooth ache and is unwilling to go to a dentist. It gets more painful by the minute, but Dean's stubborn and refuses to see a dentist. How it finally resolves itself is up to the author :)

Poor dude! I love Sam's position in this, like I love him quietly being like "Uh, this is not good," and "You should really do something about this," and then the moment it becomes too much, recognizing it and bringing him in. It's uber-credible.

Heh, yeah, left too long a tooth ache can kill. It gets infected, an abscess develops and wears through into vital areas, like the brain.

You've done well showing that here (though I get the idea this is a lower jaw tooth).

You are absolutely right! I thought the brain infection/septicemia that's usually a complication of upper jaw infections too long for comment fic, and I liked the idea of using the throat-closing cellulitis of Ludwig's angina instead so lower jaw it was!

/o\ so much research for 800 words, what the fuck.
