It was an exceptionally silly episode. I'm still half-convinced that Amy is a lot more than she seems - they may actually be trying the "chameleon arched Time Lord kid" beloved of fanfic, or some variant thereof.

Didn't see this n my flist, but saw it linked on who_daily. Odd.

Glad to know I'm not the only one failing to bond with Amy thus far. Fully expected to love her- adored the mini version - but so far just not connecting. Don't dislike her, enjoy the actress in the Confidentials, just... if she left tomorrow it wouldn't bother me.

Overall, I kind of feel like the Moff has, contrary to popular expectation, decided *not* to reinvent the wheel. And that's just fine with me.Yes! I largely shied away from interviews before the season for fear of spoilers, but in the few I saw it seemed like they were saying OMG EVERYTHING is different, and that scared me. Really, though, this is still very recognizably my show. It makes me squee; it makes me sad or frightened; it makes me headdesk at stupid plotholes. The continuity is not broken (in fact, Amy not remembering something that happened in the RTD era now seems to be a major plot element), although I'm not particularly pleased with the way Victory of the Daleks is undoing the Time War even further ( ... )
