*26; video

[The video pops on, a little shaky at first. As Angeal’s sitting down there’s a nice view of the forest, only… a large, unusual gap between a set of trees.

Angeal sighs, resting his elbow on his knee and his head on his hand, looking into the camera rather peevish.]

On the plus side, my muscle tone is starting to come back rather quickly without the ( Read more... )

...

[Have a moment of silence while he struggles not to laugh. Only when he's pretty sure he can keep a straight face does he speak up.]

I'm pretty sure that tree won't make the mistake of messing with you from now on, Angeal.

[And you've brought out his good side, gotten him to crack a smile at least. And a sarcastic, fake, laugh.]

Har dee har, Zack.

[He holds up his hands in surrender, although his lips have, in fact, already cracked into a grin. It's a good sound to hear.]

Just sayin'. ...Soo I'm guessing you didn't mean to do that, huh?

Well, [He looks behind himself before looking back to the screen rolling his eyes slightly.] If by "didn't mean to do that", you mean to knock down the tree; then yes.

I did expect to do some damage but I suppose I let my fighting spirit take over more than I intended it to.

We could store some firewood, just in case, for next year. But I don't know if it'd keep so well.

...Chip removal?

I'm sure if you store it well it, it should last until then.

The chip that the scientists implant before arrival. I haven't had mine removed yet.

Let me see if I can find someone who knows it better; I'm no good at firewood.

Oh, right, that thing... How many people have had it removed, anyway? I thought it was hard to find.

You just need a dry place to keep it. A high cabinet, a wooden box off the floor, something like that should suffice.

I'm not sure how many. A few friends of mine have. And sometimes it's not that hard if you know where to look. Or if you just search for it. It has to be somewhere.

[ Stares for a while. No, still not believing his eyes, but whatever. He uses voice rather than video. ]

Why the tree, though?

The firewood'll come in handy, though...

[He chuckles before replying.]

Welcome back, Cloud.

Training purposes. I wasn't in the mood to gallivant around looking for a creature. Besides, I needed a inanimate object.

[ Slightly surprised that Angeal knows him because he remembers so little of him, but going by what others have said, it’s to be expected. ]

Thanks. Even if I don’t remember being here.

I pity all inanimate objects, then. [ joking a little here. ]

I see. Forgive me then; welcome to Discedo.

[There's a slight pause, then he scoffs. Cloud still has a dry sense of humor.] This will be the only unfortunate casualty.

Did you cut down all those trees, Angeal?

honoreverything May 4 2010, 12:35:08 UTC
No, just the one. It does make it look like a few though, doesn't it?

It must be very big. Why did you cut it?
