I am feeling your loss... jen_floridagal April 22 2008, 22:36:27 UTC
Celebrating Mother's Day can be painful, whether this will be your first Mother's Day without your mom, or if it has been many years since her death. In time, your grief and depression will turn into healing and peace. Keep reading for ways to stay connected with your mom and honor her memory on Mother's Day.

I feel that way on Father's day, I miss my dad so much..

A sister in motherlessness... lady_curmudgeon April 23 2008, 03:15:22 UTC
My mom passed away May 28, 2005 of a rare disease called amyloidosis. This will be my third mother's day without her. It's supposed to get easier, but it hasn't yet, not really. I kinda had the tri-fecta of grief, though--dad died six months before my separation from my ex, the divorce, then mom just short of four months after my divorce was final (her diagnosis came the week of the final divorce hearing), so I'm not a good gage of things.

I can't relate to the being a mom losing my mom (I'm a cat mom, which is quite a bit different), so I can't help you there. But as a daughter...I know...

(((((hugs)))))

Thanks. It will be my first and I'm not looking forward to it. I know that there will be the hoopla from everyone with it being Mother's Day but I don't want to celebrate it at all.
I don't know.
