The Friday Fluff & Fold Report is moving. Only it's not moving to a new stationary day. It's just going to keep moving. Period. Thursday this week. Maybe it will be Friday next week. In other words, I will try to crank one out as I can make time. So let's not waste any of that precious time. To the bullets!

I'm a big fan of green beans and snow peas. The snow peas need something to climb, but once they start, you'll get a lot. I've also had a lot of success with habaneros, but one plant produces a lot and you need to know people that like hot things.:)

Yep. Green beans are on the list of things we want to try. I was considering either snow peas or snap peas, too, and leaning towards the snap peas. I worry about managing to actually get any variety of pea or shell pea to the dinner table, though. I'm a notorious devourer of raw peas.

My heat tolerance is mild to medium, with jalapeno generally being the upper limit. I'm considering a jalapeno, though. I'd plant poblanos, but that would mean lots of work, as I'd have to finally learn to make chile rellanos instead of going to Mexican restaurants for them.

Thanks for your info on menopause (as I sit her with wicked cramps) and also teary since I'm pre menopausal. I used to think I wish it would just hurry up and finish. But after reading your post I think I'll stick with the periods. Although my waist has been thickening for the past few years no matter what I do.

I could add bones and patience to the list of things that thin, but I don't think I need to scare you any more.

Lots of the ladies on my FL have horrible periods, and I feel for them, but the alternative, I'm finding, is even less fun. An early menopause is not the gift that everybody hopes for.

Hmm. Cucumbers are easy (stake them like you would a tomato) - green beans, mint, if you're careful not to let it take over. Peppers green, red, whatever. strawberries arent too bad, but tend to get eaten by wandering ravenous forest denizens. if i remember anything else I'll let ya know!

Yep. Cukes are on the list along with the green beans (and maybe wax beans). We're going to hope for more success with bell peppers than we've had in the past.

The mint and the strawberries are out, though. Mint is both perennial and invasive. Strawberries, also, are perennial, and many varieties either don't produce or produce poorly the first year, too. I wish I could plant them, though.

I agree on the Mint, I only ever put them in a pot. Radishes do great in spring, and can be replaced with something else in the summer.
