i'm not sure where you live, but in the suburbs the decision to send a kid to public schools is a different ballgame from a decision for a public school education in an urban public school. there are a lot of parents deciding to move out to the suburbs in order to get their child into a suburban public school, while city parents are often choosing to send their child to a private school. as a result urban schools are being left to the underprivileged and with that comes a big set of problems. that's a very abridged version of what i wanted to write about when i made this post, you however, address a different aspect of the public school problem, that of the expectations placed on teachers. i definitely think that an enormous shift has taken place in the last 50 years in terms of what's expected from teachers and the degree of parental involvement in their children's school life ( ... )

Let me be the first to officially request that you DO eventually write about all of the above. I would love to read more things like that on my friend's page. It does take energy, though. So... just know that I'll be happily reading if you write it.

Also, your dog is adorable, and that pizza looks amazing. Also, I love Regina Spektor. Also, my husband plays D&D every Friday. haha. I used to think it was really lame but now it seems like it's a lot of fun. That's all.

:)

I've noticed you haven't been as involved in your journal or your friendslist lately.

My interest waxes and wanes. Sometimes I feel like I could write for days, and other times I check my journal and it's been nearly two weeks since an update...

I'd like to read your thoughts on a lot of those topics.

As always your food looks amazing.

Hope you're doing ok.
