I went and rewatched...at least bits of the last two eps oon the CW page a couple times after airing, but I don't think there's any reason I'll be looking to rewatch this one.
Okay, I'll admit I did enjoy Sam's freakout at the end of the ep because at least it laid some groundwork for the whole 'argh everyone vanished I'm freaking out' thing, and the idea that he's all burned out and just literally can't deal with this anymore, despite how he's framed it in very silly ways during moments of clunky expository dialogue, but at least that was a vaguely interesting moment.
That's really the only thing that came out of this episode worth a damn. I really feel for Jensen; this was NOT an easy episode to direct (with all that stupid exposition) and he was in nearly every scene. I can't fathom how tough it is to direct AND act at the same time.
And yes, the music sucked. I insist upon hearing vintage Rod Stewart in my brain during Sam's flashback. No one can stop me. So there.
