I'm trying to get in the habit of responding to crazy angry drivers, who try to intimidate me on the road, with a) a smile and a wave or b) blown kisses. Today was (a). I couldn't quite bring myself to the level of insouciance required to blow kisses at a guy trying to fake-ram my car. But I hope the failure to response in kind was at least

A million years ago I was in the car with my friend and an apparently turning-signal-averse driver nearly killed us, and she was flipping him off when somebody on the sidewalk randomly called, "Hey now, Jesus loves you." We were sort of thrown by that, and then the person in the car behind us (it was summer and everybody's windows were down) out and out screamed "Jesus would have signaled his FUCKING INTENT!"

I..imagine Jesus would've been a respectful driver? Or...something. Man, I dunno, people are crazy. But that's a fantastic story.

I vote we go back to buggies. And like, those bicycles with the giant wheels. We'd still have road rage but we could do it really slowly?

In Boston they'd manage it. Boston could pull off road rage on foot. I've seen two Boston drivers block the entrance to an emergency room because they were yelling at each other out of their windows. It was terrifying, especially given that I needed to get into said emergency room. :P
