My mom lived in a trailer built in 1965, and it had problems with the wiring, too. I'm not sure how she resolved it. Can't recall if they rewired the whole thing or fixed just the part not working. But she went for a long time with only some of her outlets working until someone fixed it.
You and I are lucky to have had Dad's who could fix stuff. I sure do miss my dad. He could fix anything. I never knew how rare that was until he was gone.

Seriously, massive hugs and groans in sympathy. Power issues are really miserable, when you can't have proper heat or just run your appliances. I hope it can be fixed very soon!
