[Alexia has spent most of the past week either working through the library, or casing the network for likely suspects. At the moment she is in the sunny kitchen, looking quite gravely serious.]Suppose this effect did last permanently ( Read more... )

[She wouldn't really mind if it weren't for the others, and for not being sure she can protect the people here as well without them.]

I'm alright right now. But I hope they still return.

What actions would you take to make sure they return?

... I suppose I would be mildly inconvenienced, but I'm still able to defend myself with martial arts and swordsmanship. Although I would think that many people would overreact and barge into the Inner city to get their powers back, so I suppose going with them to make sure nothing stupid happens would probably count as the second part of your first question...

Treacle tart... I'm not sure how easily that could be made. As long as you can find the ingredients for the crust... Mostly, it's the flour that we lack.

They would? What exactly do mean by "stupid" happenings?

Yes. Though finding any flour that isn't rotted is proving to be a task.

Such as, getting themselves killed. A lot of people are defenseless without their abilities. Not everyone knows how to fight.

Yes, unfortunately. I would love a good, homemade loaf of bread.

Are they under the impression that fighting some sort of battle will get their abilities back?

Yes. [It does not do to complain, especially in this circumstance, but-] The lack of food is proving the most distressing aspect of the city.

I don't think it's too inconvenient really.

Treacle tarts? I've never tried, but if I had a recipe I could probably learn.

[She nods. Better results than she expected so far.]

I haven not come across the recipe yet.

To think, it's not in every cookbook. Mad.

[Ion is a frail little princess with or without his powers, really. No need to worry about him. Ever.]

I see. Good luck in finding it then! I shall tell you if I encounter it at all.

Oh? Thank you.

[Really, how thoughtful! It takes her aback a bit.]

I am Alexia Tarabotti. Lovely to meet you.

I would be very bothered. Almost irritated, even.

Bothered, verging on annoyed, but not quite irritated.
