Nick looked from John to Weller to John again. Sergeant? He was a kid, just like them. No way someone his age was a sergeant.

"He's not a Sergeant," Nick glowered, keeping close watch on his stuff. "That's stupid. You're stupid if you believe he's a sergeant." You couldn't join the army until you were eighteen. Everyone knew that. The new kid was probably messing with John because he was too young to know better. But Nick knew. He was the smartest one here, by his own reckoning. After all, he was the oldest one. Weller might be able to mess with John, but he wasn't going to mess with Nick.

He turned to Weller, as if telling John wasn't enough, and stated once again, "You're not a Sergeant."

"Goddammit...why are you so bloody heavy...?"

Fang moved slowly, much slower than usual, dragging her (now-oversized) spear along as well as she could. The steel scrapped along the ground as she moved. When she returned to her normal age, it was likely she would be deeply displeased by the scuffs on the glittering metal. At the moment, however, she was mainly concerned with showing off.

She stopped dead in her tracks however, when she saw the giant. She'd talked to Sora about it, but she hadn't seen it up close until just now. "Whoa... It's almost as big as Titan! Hey, giant!" Fang dropped the heavy spear and waved.

When she received no response, though, she soon lost interest and continued to walk until she saw the group of boys. "Hey!"

Well. That hadn't been exactly what Weller had anticipated.

It seemed at least the Rookie was here, but there was no sign of the girl Anathema anywhere. The slightly older boy- and he didn't look much older since Weller was a bit tall for his age- didn't seem exactly hostile but he didn't seem all that friendly either. Not that Weller couldn't handle that ( ... )

John Doe frowned at Nick. Why was he acting so disrespectful towards a sergeant? That didn't seem right. Even he knew enough to tell that you were supposed to respect a sergeant - and Gabriel Weller gave the impression of a really good sergeant, too, as far as John Doe was concerned. He was a nice one, at least.

"Don't talk to him like that," he complained, but then his attention was diverted by the girl who just arrived - and the massive spear she was dragging behind her. It was a more primitive weapon than the guns the other kids here had, but despite everything, he was impressed. It was a remarkable weapon either way, and even at this age, he could see that it would have taken a lot of work to make something like this.

"Wow," he commented, and drew a bit closer to get a better look. It was really a badass spear. After admiring it for a second longer, he greeted the girl, "Hello! You're that girl, aren't you? Uh... Fang?"

Nick snorted. So because someone said he was a sergeant, that somehow meant Weller was? That was stupid. What about all the kids who claimed to be dinosaurs? Or firemen? Or astronauts? Were they actually any of those? No. This "Sergeant" seemed too old to believe that nonsense, though Nick didn't get a chance to say as much, as a young girl with a large sword had arrived. He settled on mumbling, "Whatever," to cover both Weller's and Rookie's responses before turning his attention to her.

"Hi," Nick said, looking Fang over. She was dressed funny. Then again, he was the one wearing a suit way too large and dirty. "Are here to play War too?" Great, little kids and girls. This game was turning out to be somewhat disappointing.
