It seemed at least the Rookie was here, but there was no sign of the girl Anathema anywhere. The slightly older boy- and he didn't look much older since Weller was a bit tall for his age- didn't seem exactly hostile but he didn't seem all that friendly either. Not that Weller couldn't handle that.
He nodded to the Rookie, slightly pleased by his enthusiastic greeting. It didn't look like he had any modesty as a child, either. "Nice to meet you, Rookie. Any sign of Anathema?" He wasn't actually certain if she planned on coming, but it didn't hurt to ask.
Now for the other boy. Not a sergeant? Weller's brows furrowed at the accusation, wondering exactly where this kid found the gall to accuse him of lying. "I am so. Nate says that's what I am when I'm older and he's too nice to lie to people." And that was always funny. He gave Nick a long glance and gave a small shrug to his irritated appearance. "But if you don't want to believe me that's your problem. It's a really stupid thing to lie about." Weller didn't know where the hell he would get pretending to be a sergeant on some strange planet, but this kid had other ideas apparently.
And now, to top it off, a girl with an enormous spear dragged along with her showed up at their gathering. Weller couldn't help but stare in appreciation at the weapon, clearly impressed even though she had abandoned it. "Hi." He greeted back, raising a hand to give a small wave back. "I'm Gabriel, this is Rookie, and I'm not sure who this is." He jerked a thumb in Nick's direction. "Who're you?"
