Anathema started slightly at the voice, turned to look for the source with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion. For a moment she almost thought that Sakura girl had come back again, and she was a little disappointed to find it was just some boy. It probably showed.

But still, she remembered her manners and straightened up as he walked over, a bit of relief crossing her face as well. So there actually were people around. Good. She wasn't sure she could handle another ghost town after the last time.

"Oh. Where are they at? Are there a lot of them?" It seemed like they picked up more people at every stop, so....

"There are a lot of kids, but not a lot of adults," Raikou said, noting the slight disappointment in the girl's features. He wondered why. "Most of them are Matron Grau's. She lives over there." He turns just slightly so he could point in the general direction of the brothel-turned-home-for-lost-children-slash-orphanage. It was still weird that it felt like he was in the "Old West," like what America used to be. There were cowboys and bar wenches, but not a lot of them. The kids and the candy looked out of place, though.

He points at the large building that the giant was pulling. "Do you live there?"

Gau tried not to waver in the bright, baking sun, cringing from it a little. He felt oddly naked even then, without his trusted sweatervest, his dress shirt tucked into his pants in a vain attempt to keep neat and tidy. He could already feel the thin sheen of sweat and dust settling on the back of his neck, and tried not to shudder at the thought ( ... )

Anathema was being followed. Well, more like stalked, and stalked rather well, no, as a matter of fact. Yoite Sora was hiding behind trees and creeping closer and closer with each step. It was obvious the girl was lost or confused, that and she was going to wear herself out. Didn't she realize it was too hot?

Creeping up beside the girl, tapping her on the shoulder most far away from him so that she had to turn the other way to look. There was no smile on his face though, just a stoic kind of nothingness. He was having fun, where as some of the other children looked to be stressed out, Sora was just pleased to be free .

If Anathema still held any inkling of power in her now tiny form she might have been able to notice the presence following behind her. But as it was she fell right into the little trick, immediately turning toward the side the tap had been.

She blinked. Then she frowned, lips pursing in annoyance even as the smallest pang of panic went down her spine and if this was another ghost town she was going to break something. When her looking around finally did reveal the little boy behind her she was rather proud that she didn't jump. "What was that for?"

Sora didn't expect the girl to have fallen for it, so the child was at a loss. Stuttering as they stumbled back some, hands catching their small frame before they fell over completely. "Sora was just ... I'm not sure, Sora has seen the other children doing things like that."

Yes, the child did seem a little timid, maybe even kind of strange, but one thing that stood out was how innocent they were. "Sora should leave you alone?I don't think I'm good at this."
