Summary: A very tiny and homesick Anathema decides this trip is taking too long and tries to find her own way home. And is immediately distracted.
Anyone walking around the caravan the morning they finally made it to town might have seen a little girl--maybe no older than seven or eight years old, and wearing a blouse that looks more like a dress on her small frame--tearing almost frantically through the halls and down the stairs, occasionally stumbling over herself as she made a beeline straight for the nearest exit. And once she actually made it outside....
Well. She just sort of....stopped. Stared around wide-eyed as she stood rooted in place. It wasn't a place she recognized; obviously not, she was just as misplaced as everyone else on the caravan and all, she knew she wouldn't. But it didn't stop the sudden need to get back home as fast as her little legs would take her. Anathema couldn't even remember how long she'd been gone now, but her mother was going to be so worried if she didn't get back, and soon.
They weren't getting to that other witch fast enough. She would just have to find the way back home all on her own. Maybe she could even bother one of the others into helping her.
....though after looking around a bit, she decided that might be a problem. Three things about this new town were immediately noticeable; one was that it was hot, the heat engulfing her the moment she stepped foot out of the safety of the caravan. And it was such a strange looking town. A little like those weird American movies her uncle liked so much.
It was also very, very empty.
Anathema tilted her head, and frowned. "But where is everybody?"
