Gau collapsed immediately with a G-rated yelp.
It was fortunate for everyone that long years of living in the same house as Raikou and his lovingly sadistic tendencies, left Gau with a bit of resistance to head-blows. Or...maybe it was luck, and the blow itself was lopsided, or dulled in lethality by the glare from Rookie's VISR.

Whatever the reason, the soaked and now angry Gau scrambled back up remarkably quickly, sputtering and choking, drawing out his ridiculously small kunai to whirl on his attacker. "THAT HURT-!" He started to bellow before he cut himself off, blinking blearily and pushing soaked hair out of his eyes. "Robo- Rookie?!"

He lowered the knife just a little, then blinked again, looking around for some other assailant through the haze of stars in his vision. (Clearly Rookie wouldn't hit him--not when they were comrades! Unthinkable ( ... )

"Hey! What do you think you're doing? Stop it!" Serah shouted, her voice reaching a high, strained pitch. She looked up at the man from her place on the shower room floor, confused and wide-eyed, feeling the muscles in her back and shoulders tense. It was hard to tell if Gau-it was him, wasn’t it? His voice certainly sounded like his-was really hurt anywhere, with him moving around like he was with that weapon in hand, which was probably not the best of ideas considering the other man had a gun, though she could understand his defensiveness after an unprovoked attack like that ( ... )
