Characters: libraria & methodicals Setting/Location: Hallways -> Kitchen! Date & Time: Midday of day 13 Warnings: None! Summary: Nodoka always crashed into B.
Immediately, Beyond realized someone had walked into him; it was his reaction that took time. Acknowledgement first, then he would go through the process of figuring out who it was, and if this would present a problem for him. He was so tired now; he hoped this wouldn't be a problem.
But as soon as his gears began turning, the person spoke, and vocally he identified them immediately: Nodoka Miyazaki. A ... friend, he might consider her. She was still here! That was an uplifting realization. He'd been aware of her continued presence on the caravan, but hadn't truly registered that she hadn't been whisked away with the others. Beyond found himself glad about it, though apprehensive that she would disappear as well.
Slowly, he turned to see her.
"Miyazaki-san. Please don't worry about it. Are you all right?"
Nodoka did her best to not look overly embarrased - which, given the situation, was a rather difficult feat. Instead, she brushed her hair from her eyes and patted down her clothes, pretending as though she wasn't too bothered by the fact that she had just walked into one of her friends. She should be used to this clumsiness, but it never made it at all less embarrassing.
Still, she was glad that he was still here! With all the people coming and going it was easy to lose track of which of her friends she could contact and which she needed to mourn. Beyond, though not her closest, was one of her first new friends here on the Caravan and she treasured that, rather highly. Her lips turned into a bright smile and she bowed a little in a more formal form of greeting. What else was she supposed to do?
"Ah, I-I'm fine! I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to walk into you like that..."
He lifted a hand to point at her. It was hardly threatening, only to get her attention. As he scanned her, he noticed her damp clothes and how easily they clung to her body, but -- strangely, this observation produced no reaction in him. Hmm. He must be too depressed to feel too attracted to Nodoka.
Instinctively, though belatedly, he bowed in response, his forefinger still pointed in her direction.
"I asked you to please not worry about it. I am not worried about it, unless you're hurt."
Nodoka smiled weakly, rising from her bow to stand straight. She glanced up and down at her friend and then paused a little. He didn't look - well, he didn't seem happy. Not that he had seemed as though he was enthusiastically cheerful the last time they had spoken, but there was a despondent air about him now that made her uncomfortable; she wanted to cheer him up.
"Oh, I-I'm not hurt, not at all!" She smiled at him nervously. Her head was throbbing a little, but it wasn't enough to distract her. Shifting from one foot to another, she took a deep breath and forced herself to look up at him, right into his eyes. "I - Beyond-san, um... A-Are you busy right now?"
