Summary: Nodoka always crashed into B.

Nodoka was more than used to wandering around the Caravan alone now. Her journeys from one end to the other were a means to calm herself, to give herself time to think. Right now, however, she felt as though she needed time away from her roomie and away from the hectic, frantic worries of the passengers. She was, of course, worried about the missing people, but so much had happened recently; a stop at a village, people that were hurt and then, all of a sudden, people missing. It was as though they couldn’t catch a break, like something or someone was teasing them and trying to rile them. The girl didn’t like it at all.

And, so, because of it, she walked. Her uniform had been washed hurriedly and it was still damp, clinging to her skin lightly, but she didn’t complain about it; there was no reason to. She had to do what she had to do to live in peace on this Caravan and not upset anyone and then she could get home, back to Negi-sensei and Yue-chan and Paru-chan and everyone. That was the most important thing, the thing that kept her smiling and hopefully and helpful. The closer she believed they were getting to Loophole the more hope she could feel blossom in her chest. It didn’t stop her wishing, still, when new people found their way here, that maybe one of them would be Negi-sensei. The greater part of her continued to wish that it would never happen, and she knew she would keep wishing it until she got home.

The girl walked down one of the rooming corridors, her mind elsewhere. She wanted to go home and see if this was all a dream; to see if Craig-san and Aisha-san were really dead, to see if she had been dreaming about seeing her dear friends cut down in front of her. She was so deep in her thoughts that she didn’t notice the other person in the corridor and walked right into them, her forehead bashing into their shoulder painfully. Lifting her hand up nervously, as though pressing against the hurt would send it away, she turned her eyes to the figure that she had so unkindly walked into.

"Oh!" Nodoka explained loudly. "Beyond-san - i-it’s you! It’s been a long time, hasn’t it? I’m s-so sorry, I really wasn’t looking where I was going..." She smiled at him nervously. Why was it that whenever she met Beyond-san she made a fool of herself? Tripping and jumping and being nervous and then crashing into him - she was obviously making a wonderful impression on her new friend.
