Summary: After an eventful afternoon, Amaterasu and her volunteers (and not so volunteers) have set up a party. Note: Action and prose

[ And speaking of a wolf, there's one curled up on a table against the far back of the main hall, right in the center. This table is completely covered in vines, grass and flowers to cushion her, but those who know Amaterasu might notice that she was looking a little worn. Still her eyes are alert and able to see everything from her vantage point. ]

[don't get used to it Ammy, his bouts of intelligence are very rare, despite not actually being that stupid. He has no idea she's a goddess. He smiles and pets her again.]

So you can use magic huh? That's very impressive, it's a shame the dog I knew couldn't do stuff this magnificent, though he was good at annoying Morrigan with his little presents.

[he snickers a bit at the thought then realises he's getting off track]

Oh right so, where was I? Err oh yes so...you're not an ordinary wolf, and since you have a lot more intelligence than some of the people here, and you worked so hard on this surprise, I better introduce myself? Right?

My name's Alistair. [this felt...really weird.]

[ He's been bored lately, so this little... get-together is kind of the only thing that's been interesting him. At least all this being alone and avoiding his room and, well, other "stupid" people has left him a bit more subdued than usual? He's not running around and bratting, instead, he's walking in, blinking down at the wolf, and then dropping to a crouch next to her, sighing and reaching out a hand for her to sniff at. That's what you do with dogs, right? ]

They even dragged animals here?

[ She sniffs at his hand politely in greeting. It's actually useful; very few people ever both to introduce themselves by name to a "dog". So scent's been one of the best ways she identifies people, even if she does end up thinking of them as "Man who smells like spices", "Delicious smelling man", or "Woman who smells very sharp and makes me sneeze". It works for her.

She shakes her head and shoulders in response, her approximation of a shrug. It's not a very good one, she knows, and she twitches her paw to make the bell around it chime. Sure she's been dragged here, but she's not exactly your normal animal. ]

[ The Replica doesn't really have a name to introduce himself with, to be honest. So even if Ama was a perfectly normal human being, she'd probably have been left without an introduction anyway. But for now he just reaches his hand up cautiously to scratch behind her ears.

He's just winging it, and he's heard that animals like to be scratched there, so.... hey. It'd be nice to have at least one person on this caravan not thinking he's nothing but a bratty, bumbling idiot. Even if said person is an animal. ]

A bell, huh? [ He reaches his other hand down to poke at it curiously. ] That's not how you talk, is it?

[Helping out with the preparations turned out to be an unexpectedly delightful way to pass an afternoon, and climbing one of those trees seems like an excellent way to top it off. Murdock stops by Amaterasu's table on his way towards the stairs long enough to give her a fond, gentle pat.] Thank you, Lady.

[ She nuzzles against his hand. Thank you, she responds, even though she knows he can't hear it. She's aware that she couldn't have actually done this all herself; at least not without a lot more effort and it taking a lot more time. Besides, it feels more like a celebration with a bunch of people involved. ]

[Murdock grins, stroking the fur between her ears for a moment.] Y'know, just when I think I got the market cornered on doing the unexpected, someone like you goes and proves I still got a lot to learn. Kind of a nice feeling, all things considered.

[He lifts the brim of his cap in a faint gesture of salute, and then heads off toward the trees at the room's edge, whistling merrily.]

[Ty Lee thinks this festival idea is awesome, and is totally ready to get her party on... when she suddenly spots an old friend]

Hey!

[ Amaterasu's head swivels around when she hears Ty Lee, and her tail starts wagging. Hello old friend! Her ears go slightly back in regret; she remembers playing with Ty Lee, but she can't play now. It may be hard to explain that she's busy right now, though. Hopefully Ty Lee won't mind. ]
