This is just delicious. The details you include are magnificent. I don't really like Simon all that much, but I love the way you write him. It's such a brilliant window into his head, I think I actually understand him better as a character reading this than I do watching the show. Although, when you mentioned the Mal Reynolds School of Acting, I had hoped he was actually going to teach him something!

Hello, and thank you for your really nice comments. I've never been the biggest Simon fan myself, but it's been both a struggle and a revelation to write his POV. I'm glad it works for you.

Loved Simon biting his tongue as Mal dug through the dead mans' stuff... They are soooo from different worlds *G* I love the way you keep them true to that all the way through.

Wonderful dialogue, wonderful characterization. I am enjoying this story so much!

Ah, well, you know how excited I get when you comment. Did I mention how much fun I had writing the Mal and Zoe conversation? A little silliness in the midst of everything else.
You know you'll get more because I know you won't leave me alone otherwise. And that's good. :)

Mal snorted softly. “I expect it does.”

Simon grinned, and the woods exploded with the sound of gunfire.

Love the set up and the repartee between them... and Zoe is wonderfulness itself. I see some dry comments to Mal when she does come and rescue his sorry ass again ;) *Rub hands together in anticipation*
