I don't see the harm in letting people say things if they really want to. It's easier to let them be than argue. It only becomes an issue if it really causes problems with the current mechanics of the city

Exactly, more problems started when people voiced objections, and turned it into an argument. As long as they don't actively do anything hampering, it makes sense to ignore them. After all, they haven't demanded we do anything, so their delusions are victimless.
It dosn't hurt anyone, thus it isn't a real problem. If there is more peace by ignoring it it, it is better to do so. Provoking them only causes a disturbance.
I didn't say you were. I'm simply saying focusing on the matter is a bit much at the moment. Until they cause an issue it's best to let it be, thus no one will comment or cause the bit of commotion we have right now.
