I don't see the harm in letting people say things if they really want to. It's easier to let them be than argue. It only becomes an issue if it really causes problems with the current mechanics of the city.
For now, since no one is being hurt over these claims I find it easiest to ignore them. After all, they are not enforced, sometimes passivity is better than aggression. So please, I implore the public to ignore these claims and continue on with your normal daily routine. If it becomes an issue in the future, contact the police and we will try and deal with it in a quick and orderly fashion.
