Thank you for this enjoyable fic, and I applaud the solution at the end! Mrs Cattermole has originality and style, but I think Moriarty could have told her a bit more about budgeting.

I'm so pleased that you read this and enjoyed it ^_^ And, yes - Miss Cattermole should probably have gone on that Basic Bookkeeping for Evil Geniuses course after all ^_^

Hilarious work, and a brilliant casefic!

I loved the shady governess situations that any young woman in a Sherlock Holmes story ought to expect (complete with cellar-tunnelling and vicious dogs), and the Missing Room was a moment of genius.

And leave it to Watson to save both of them from the Josephine of Criminal Landladies - and to suggest a rise in Mrs. Hudson's rent payments as a precaution.

Thank you so much ^_^

Must admit the Miss Dossett bit is my favourite part of the whole fic ^^ And Watson yelling: "Not tonight, Josephine!" amuses me to an embarrassing degree ^_^

So funny, very well done! So many perfect Holmes moments: bursting through the fake wall, fending off the inebriated Miss Dossett (and btw I love all the names!), taking advantage of Mrs Hudson at all hours, and remaining completely calm with a gun in his face. Yet still being suspicious of the tea at the end, ha! Serves them all right for thinking their landladies were nothing more than plot devices. ;)

Must admit I used a Victorian name generator to find most of the names ^^" You've picked out such a lot of my favourite bits - thank you so much ^_^

Serves them all right for thinking their landladies were nothing more than plot devices. ;) Oh, well played ^___^

Ahahahaha! That was an absolute riot! I especially loved Miss Dossett -- if Irene Adler was The Woman, Miss Dossett appears to be The Governess, ably embodying all the imperiled tropes of her profession. I especially loved the tunneling and dog chase! And the dressing as Queen Victoria (that must have been one of Watson's untold cases...) In fact, now I shall always suspect that The Giant Rat of Sumatra had something to do with poor Miss Dossett.

The other cases were equally clever -- I loved Holmes bursting through the hidden door! And Watson coolly saving the day in the end. "Mrs. Cattermole, you fiend!" is somehow inherently funny, you do have a gift for names.

This was GOLDEN. I think I can guess the mischievous author who penned it :) Wonderful work, I have a big grin on my face!

Yes, I didn't think anyone who knew me would have too many problems identifying me as the author ^^"

Miss Dossett and her case is my favourite part of the fic I must admit ^_^ And calling someone "you fiend!" is always funny, but especially when that someone is called Cattermole ^^ (Must admit I used a Victorian name generator to come up with most of the names - but Cattermole is one that I came up with on my own.)
