Yes, Holmes, definitely increase the rent payments. She knows where you sleep, she fixes what you eat: you definitely don't want to end up in arrears where her goodwill is concerned.

This was magnificent! I had no problems imagining Holmes and Watson considering paying a bit more just to ensure their own safety! Wise men!
And the "you fiend" line is a favourite of mine now =)

Too funny! An entertaining casefic with exactly the right touch of Victorian melodrama. You're right, calling someone "you fiend" is always a good one. And I love the thought of Watson taking the night off to wax his moustache!
