Wonderful! Thanks to you, I can hear Sherlock singing "Captain Kidd", or better still, playing it surreptitiously on his violin (Mycroft won't recognize the reference, it'll be your secret, Sherlock):

My name is Captain Kidd
As I sailed, as I sailed,
Oh my name is Captain Kidd as I sailed,
My name is Captain Kidd
And God's laws I did forbid,
And most wickedly I did as I sailed.

A cheeky version for you: http://vimeo.com/21987924

And to show the twisty ways of music history, Captain Kidd arranged for shape-note singers, its text altered for worship: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-MDHnDEPZk (Just don't tell Sherlock about it, OK?)

Cheeky indeed - someone there was definitely raised singing I am a wild rover...

What a lovely addition, thank you so much!

...and...psst...be assured that no one is telling Mycroft (or Sherlock) anything... ;-)

Oh, this is fantastic. Fiction looping back into reality and then into fiction again - and the contrast between Sherlock's childish doodles and your own masterful portrait of him is simply brilliant.

This is incredible! What an absolutely dazzling array of images put together to form something clever, heartwarming, and beautiful. I love the way these images and stories appear before him the way that deductions and observations dance before his eyes an adult. I love the way he's inserted himself into book pages and illustrations that come from other sources, and I especially love "BORING!" This is absolutely magical- thank you so much for such a thoughtfully composed, beautifully executed piece!
