Consensual Moriarty/Watson

I'm looking for a Moriarty/Watson fic, and I just can't find it. I'm preeetty sure it was Moriarty. I am very sure there was Watson it it. I've spent a week searching the Internet, and by now I'm so frustrated I could cry. I really don't have much to go on.
It's not BBC!Sherlock, but I don't know what verse it was in. I think Moriarty was called " ( Read more... )

I'd like to se that one too, if you get any leads.

I know of one where Moriarty blackmails Watson into being with him and giving up Holmes. It's ACD-verse and I read it (I think) on AO3, but the details aren't quite the same. I'll see if I can find it for you, though.

Found! Oh, and it's most perfect. You should go read is as soon as you find time, I'm sure you'll love it :D [to be found one comment down]

If you can find it, I would still be interested in the story you described, though. Any Moriarty/Watson stories I haven't yet read shall be read this year. A fine New Year's resolution, I find.

Hmmm. This sounds almost like my fic, On the Orbits of Asteroids, but some of the details aren't quite the same. The scene with Moriarty and the scar is there, but the heart-to-heart between Watson and Moran is so far only in my head.

I do so much love the concept of these two together in a consensual manner, so I hope you find the story, because I'd love to read it myself, lol! There are more stories like this in the BBC series, but I'm not a fan of its Moriarty at all.

OMG!! OMG THAT'S IT, OMFG! T_T
*cries forever*
Thank you so much. And it's SO much better than I remembered. It's amazing, I'm so happy right now, thank you so much for answering. This search has been driving me absolutely crazy, but it's been so worth it, holy MOTHER OF ALL THINGS HOlmes-ian, but WOW your fic is fantastic.

I have NO idea why I didn't leave 5000 words of gushing feedback when I read it the first time around. Probably because I was too stunned by the EVERYTHING. Your Moriarty is my favourite Moriarty. And your Watson, obviously. And the way you wrote the story makes him so utterly shippable with everybody. And especially with Moran! Yesss~! Like - Moran being reluctantly fascinated and feeling drawn to the doctor. I live for that. And I loved the scene on the train. That's another thing that's even better than I remembered.
That the reader doesn't know how Moran really felt about [things] (<-- don't want to spoil anything for people who haven't yet read it) is perfect, too. I know what I personally want to read into ( ... )

While I'm glad I was able to locate your missing story, I am a little disappointed that there wasn't another one similar to mine out there. Most of the writing these days seems to be in Sherlock BBC, and while I love that series to death, I've never been able to warm up to their Moriarty. I guess I prefer the simple, unadulterated sociopaths to blatant psychopaths, lol!

I definitely had plans to do more with Moran's and Watson's relationship, as I think there were some real possibilities there. While I believe neither Watson nor Moran would be fool enough to directly cross Moriarty, I wouldn't be shy about bringing out some UST, at least on Moran's part. There's a lot of mutual respect on both sides, at the very least, and I think Watson may have widened Moran's world view just a tad. ;D

Again, thank you for your awesome feedback (still smiling!)

The one I was thinking about (I think) is Careless by Unsettled, at AO3 here: http://archiveofourown.org/works/90634 I've read On the Orbits of Asteroids and heartily concur that it is a great story and not to be missed!
