There's no mood for bitter because usually, when you're dealing with LJ, it's understood that the bitterness is just a given. Lives inside of you like acid reflux or an allergy to Ann Coulter.
I never really watched SGA before, but started catching up with past eps on Itunes, and now that I know what's going to happen with SigourneyClone, it makes it emotionally draining to watch. Almost as if I don't wanna commit to her character.
Like I JUST recently started to watch S1&2 of Doctor Who, and I love it tremendously, but I can feel the bile rise up whenever I see pretty, pretty Rose onscreen.
I guess that's why you're not supposed to watch the shows in retrospect.
Hope your bitterness eases soon, or at least turns into fashionable bitterness, that way you can wear it like an accessory and at least look FABULOUS while you're going through your Weir withdrawl.
Sigourney!Clone. BWAHAHAHA! True. But in a pretty way. In S2 she's sooooo pretty. Best hair and eye makeup ever. ;)
Well I say jump in and be as masochistic as possible. You know you're going down, so enjoy the ride. Commit to Weir and go for it with Rose. Btw, I totally sporfled at that. Oh Rose. :P
Now if you excuse me, I'm gonna wrap this silk bitterness scarf around me and grab my bitterness bag and go rewatch SGA.
wow to the SigourneyClone comment... My bro was looking at promo pics I had on my computer for sga and the first comment out of his mouth was is that Sigourney Weaver lol...
All right, I suppose they could even be interpreted as McWeir. (Is that still a thing?) But McShep... We can interprete everything McShep, that's our power. *g*
It was very interesting to read a review of adrift from a Sheppard/Weir-fan perspective. Because most of my flist is McShep so I mostly read reviews with that focus. And I absolutely agree with your first paragraphs about Sheppard and Weir as part of Atlantis. But for me Rodney was always part of that (Because face it, without him the city would drown. He tells it often enough *g*.) Those three were the leaders and belonged together (Not in that sense, or do they ;) I'm curious how Carter changes the dynamic. I really feel for the Weir-fans and Sheppard/Weir fans out there, because losing one part of an ship always sucks. And they had a pretty good chemistry on screen even if they never worked for me.
But: This is a man who is about to burst into tears, people!Might I say something a little bit McShepy (is that a word?). Remember Tao and the scene at the end, there were

We can interprete everything McShep, that's our power. *g* Hahaha. Yes, I know this. :P But it was alsways funny to me how many times I watch McShep vids and see these "moments" from John's perspective, and they're always ones taken from Sparky things. But the reaction shots are always applied to Rodney, lol.
To me McShep is fun, and it definitely populates my flist, but I can't help my hetero needs! *g* It's also very difficult imo to take I'd say the most Sparky episodes ever and make them McShep. Not fair! But threesome is allowed. ;)

For me McShep onscreen is not romantic. It's all about the subtext and the tension. But that is not that obvious because they are both a little daft at expressing their feelings. If you compare that to Daniel and Jack from SG1 it's worlds apart, vidding wise. They have all those hugs and sitting at the bedside. So a romantic vid is no problem there. You know what I mean?
But he likes to have sex with ladies. Not in my universe. :P

Sheppard is forced to step up, and JF does a wonderful job at showing the vulnerability of his leadership I agree with all you said,Joe has been great in these two episodes,I lived all the pains with him through his inner struggle! But I think he is doing a wonderful job trying to create his own way of leading!I've also seen a great Shep/Weir relationship development, their moments together made me think that kicking her out of the show is a suicidal mission!Carter? No comment!
But I think he is doing a wonderful job trying to create his own way of leading! Yes! He was phenomenal. I agree with you that he's finding his way, and pretty much because he has to.
