O HAI GUYS! *pokes head out like a bb meerkat*
I haven't talked much about Ashes to Ashes this series because, well because I was rather uninspired by the first two eps. :/ I did not like what I was seeing since what I was seeing looked suspiciously like Life on Mars. (Except worse, right? Cuz of that ookie Keeley Hawes being all up in thar instead

I love the idea that they are attempted suicides and Molly was the one who was killed. the SUPERTHEORY was interesting how it is a way to escape her pain and can only be free when Gene allows her to go.
oh love your last bit about how they BOTH REQUESTED IT so they both elected to end their lives and are now living in this fantasy world in their minds.
This season has been confusing I have been totally clueless, thanks for these predictions creates so cool ideas to ponder.

Glad that this and the Supertheory have given you something to chew on. ;)

Sam was working on a case with his colleague / girlfriend and maybe he felt guilty / responsible regarding his girlfriend dying (she had gone off to work on the case alone because of their relationship changing and then was kidnapped by suspected serial-killer).
Maybe Alex was the same...she was driving her daughter to work, got called to an incident, her daughter may have died in that incident and Alex felt guilty / responsible...
But then I wonder what's with the Martin Summers thing and how was he able to "redo" his past mistakes...go in/out of the Gene Hunt world and actually died in the Gene Hunt world (died of gunshot wounds in GH world but implied cancer in the real world)...

I think Alex and Sam only stay as long as they're dying, when they're dead they'll go on somewhere else. Also see Alex forgetting Molly and not waking up. The last shot will be of her getting wheeled into a long term coma ward...and then we'll pull back and see who the other patients are.
I'm really interested in the comment about Gene's fate being connected to the others, we know he was present for life changing events in both Sam and Alex's childhood.

Hey it would make one pause and think. But if it were way obvious and easy to understand, I'd call that lame and annoying. Wouldn't be as interesting at all. The point is for them to be dropping us clues along this journey. "Everything is significant." So it HAS to be complicated. ;)

Yeah but don't you think that resembles the end of LoMUSA a bit too much? They're all on a gene hunt? *sporfle* I think it's got to be a bit more complicated than that. They really wouldn't want to end up copying the show that copied them ( ... )

(i haven't seen the end of LoMUS but I've heard about it. Noooo. As much as I like some things to be as they seem, I'd want more complicated that that)
