Wow! If I were a boybander I don't know that I could remain quiet about my personal business. Some of the comments from column by Perez Hilton of page666 are beyond obnoxious. They are just obscene.

The whole gay thing is just stupid to me. I don't understand why it matters what someone's sexual preference is. How the hell does that impact your life exactly? And, I hate the folks who say things like "oh that is soo gay"...as if gay=lame. That really bothers me ( ... )

There are a lot of girls who still do it though, in spite of the "crazy" b/c it's their one moment to be with their idol. Self-respect goes out the window when the memory of sleeping with "insert random name" is in your brain. Some of them keep groupies around too. This girl obviously was in it for the game and the one night stand of it all since she knew the rules.

Oh honey! She had them rules down pat. She knew exactly who to talk to and when to get what done and where. I was like..that's okay. I'd rather live with myself and be able to look in the mirror. I'm not hating so to speak...well maybe I am. I just know that I couldn't do it and I do look at someone kinda funny when they publicize that they've done it. Just my own bias that sex is something that should be a little bit more private. I'm not gonna question who you sleep with but I do question why you want to publicize it.

Tony and Eva are together...Hello!!! hollywoodgot2be May 29 2005, 18:43:59 UTC
Well yeah! I don't see how the JJB girls can keep believing that JC is really the one for Eva. You'd have to be stupid not to see that she's with Tony. I had a good laugh at that while I was watching the game.

I don't think JC should quell the sexuality rumours or try to convince people one way or another. I think he should do what he's always done (as far as I know) - live his life, bring the people he doesn't mind being photographed with publicly to public events and keep the rest to himself. People will always speculate about his sexuality because of his profession, because of his looks, because he isn't really butch, because they're bored - whatever. I don't think a sex tape would stop anything except maybe speculation about the size of his penis ( ... )

True. I totally agree. I'm just a little annoyed that folks think they have the right to just put stupid sh!t up on a website like they personally know the man. I mean truthfully it's their entitlement that bothers me more so than the idea of his possible homosexuality. I don't care about the man's partner preference. He's a grown a$$ man. I just think that you shouldn't out anyone. It's not your place.

But that's just my issue with society in general. People tend to think they have a right to do whatever the hell they want to anyone as long as no one bothers them, which is totally unjust imo.

A good friend once told me her father's favorite saying...My rights end where your's begin. If people actually lived like that instead of taking liberties with other folks business, the world might be a happier place...(and then reality set in and I realize that folks aren't gonna change just b/c I want them to do so.)

It's scary how delusional some people are to think that Tony is a beard for JC. It's a disrespect to an already established athlete and his career to be labeled as someone's beard. It's beyond far-fetched in logic, to me, but yet and still you have these people debating that like it's truer that true, and if that's what they really believe them let them live on their Isle of denial ( ... )

celebrities represent the realization of the American DreamCan you explain further why you believe this? I'm not quite sure I agree if we're talking about the Entertainment industry. Many celebrities had a door open because they come from Hollywood industry families. Many others are so successful more because of their good looks than because of their talents. Or because of their money and love to outrageously party. I thought the American Dream is when someone from a modest background makes it to the top through hard work and determination. Present day examples I can think of off the top of my head are Colin Powell and Bill Gates. I like her but I don't see Angelina Jolie as representative of the American Dream ( ... )

Sure...from the poor little rich girl to the modest hard worker...most celebrities do represent the American Dream. The majority of them may not be as poor as their publicist would like us to believe but that is what they represent. That anyone who works hard and gets a little lucky can make it in this world and get uber-successful. Bill Gates is a celebrity as well as Oprah Winfrey, Colin Powell, Jerry Springer and OJ Simpson. Celebrities these days aren't really based on talent but on their well-knowness and while we do have segmented categories of celebrities (politicians, religious leaders, actors, musicians, etc.) they are all celebrities and in many cases represent the American Dream ( ... )

Somehow, someway these people have worked their gift (talent or beauty or brains) to be able to grab a piece of the fickle public attentionThank you for the clarification. I've been thinking about this since I read your post last night ( ... )

And people do gossip about regular people, who they know, in the same ways that they do celebrities. Office and college gossip for example can be pretty brutal. The anonymity of comments on Perez Hilton's site for example allow people to say the crude and malicious things they might if just talking amongst friends.

Of course they do and I think that's part of human nature. The ugly part imo but still part of human nature. And I agree that Paris Hilton is a...I can't find a word to describe her. Nevertheless, she has to work to stay in the public eye b/c no one can really identify with her. She's always had money. She doesn't really reach the public masses so she does outrageous things and gets caught doing them b/c in our minds we all wish that we could be that uninhibited...(ok, I don't but many people truly are repressed and wish that they too could say f*ck the world the way Paris does, or appears to do).
