Dean/Castiel Fic: Bad Things With You

Sep 24, 2008 16:05

I guess I'll go ahead and throw my Dean/Castiel fic into the ring along with everyone else. I was going to wait until I'd seen one more episode with him, but then I liked the idea of a fic based off of only the very initial impressions.

Wow, this is like a wish come true! Didn't I say I couldn't wait til you started writing SPN fic? And god, this pairing - I LOVE the way you write it! Your Castiel is so perfect. I'm completely in love with him!

There's a whole lot of good going around, and Dean isn't sold on any of it.This is so perfectly Dean ( ... )

Yay, I'm so glad you liked it! This was my first SPN fic, and I didn't expect it to come so easily. I was just going to jot down a few paragraphs for a future idea, but once I got started I couldn't stop. These two are too much fun to write. I'm glad you liked my version of Castiel -- I wanted to put it out there before the show gives him more of a personality, heh!

Everydayness is my thing, and I especially love to write it when there's some bizarro element like an angel trying to act like a human. And Dean is so going to doubt the validity of this angel thing for most of the season, right?!

I'm always glad to hear the sex scenes were effective -- I write them at work in between phone calls and filing; they keep me sane/just insane enough.

I honestly wasn't sure how the whole Sam/Dean thing would come off, because for some reason I can't write Sam? But anyway, yeah, it'll be interesting to see what actually happens between the two of them this season . . .

Thanks again for the comments, I really appreciate it. :)

Sam is hard to write! Dean's personality is so big and he's such an extrovert and Sam is an introvert and so much of what goes on with him happens on the inside. I find writing Dean almost like writing Sawyer in that I can hear him in my head, loud and clear, whereas Sam is like this tiny, indistinct whisper. Of course, I haven't written either of them very much, but that could be changing soon.

Anyhoo, wonderful fic that I shall squeefully rec in my next post. Gotta be sure all the Lost/SPN girls catch it!

Is it weird that I was sold on this pairing as fast as (if not faster than) Dean/Sam?

And this? Totally cannon. This is definitely how it works. Also I think I love you a little.

Not weird at all! I was in love with this pairing the moment those doors flew open and the tax accountant was standing there in his trench coat.

Thanks so much for reading. :)

Guh, that was just amazing. The loss of the relationship between Dean and Sam is so sad, but interaction between Dean and Castiel is wonderful. I especially loved that Dean considered Rob in what he was doing.

Thanks so much for reading. I'm always curious about these normal people who get possessed, and I thought it was definitely something Dean would always be conscious of. I also really like the idea of someone having asked for a possession this time around. Every aspect of this character is fascinating to me, really -- I can't wait to see what they do with him tonight!

This story was so amazing. I loved the way you wrote Dean and both his suspicion of and need for Castiel. This was fantastic.

Thanks so much for reading. I have an obsession with writing about people who fall in love with people who they think might be trying to kill them, so that was my first inclination for this pairing.

Oh my goodness. I wish this story could have gone on forever. So hot. So...sensual. It was beautifully written and the way it unfolded was wonderful. I was blushing and fanning myself through most of the story.

I love your interpretation of Castiel. He's so not used to being human. And Dean having to explain things to him...it's just great, and it adds a whole new element to the story. I love how the ending tied up with the beginning, with things coming full circle. The whole journey was just so beautifully done.

This is definitely one of THE best SPN fics I have ever read. Guh. Just SO HOT.

Thank you so much! I wanted to get my initial interpretation of Castiel out there before the show goes and makes him a totally different character, though I can't wait to see what they do with him. I'm glad you enjoyed this. :)
