I guess I'll go ahead and throw my Dean/Castiel fic into the ring along with everyone else. I was going to wait until I'd seen one more episode with him, but then I liked the idea of a fic based off of only the very initial impressions.

There's a whole lot of good going around, and Dean isn't sold on any of it.
This is so perfectly Dean.
I love the relationship between them, the everydayness of it, despite the fact that Dean can't deny that Castiel is at the least a powerful being. His insistence on trying to prove that Castiel isn't good, love that. And Castiel is so solid, except when his reaction to touching Dean shakes him. Gorgeous sex, scorching hot. Mmm, I want more of it!
The alienation between Sam and Dean was painful. I can imagine canon possibly going in this direction, and the mere idea of it hurts. Sam and Dean each hunting with their supernatural partners is a strange, symmetrical idea. It works, but it's hard to take.
I really loved your description of Castiel looking at Ruby like a falcon eying a mole. I would love to get to see that side of him.
Wonderful fic! I loved reading it!

Everydayness is my thing, and I especially love to write it when there's some bizarro element like an angel trying to act like a human. And Dean is so going to doubt the validity of this angel thing for most of the season, right?!
I'm always glad to hear the sex scenes were effective -- I write them at work in between phone calls and filing; they keep me sane/just insane enough.
I honestly wasn't sure how the whole Sam/Dean thing would come off, because for some reason I can't write Sam? But anyway, yeah, it'll be interesting to see what actually happens between the two of them this season . . .
Thanks again for the comments, I really appreciate it. :)
