This is a really great idea! I've loved granting wishes from other lists, so I decided to post one of my own.
Edit: I realized I didn't say anything at all about myself. I'm 18, and am a freshman in college. I go to school in Texas, but my hometown is in Southern CA (I get to go back in a week and a half!) My major is currently Applied Math, but I have no idea if I want to keep it or not. I love reading, especially fantasy and historical fiction. I also love the performing arts (I play the flute and dance, and I attempt to sing and act). ...and I guess that's all I can think of to say!
I’m not expecting them all to happen (or any, really), but here’s what I want (not in any order):
1. This is probably never going to happen, but a good snow before I leave for home in a week and a half. Because in Texas, there’s at least that hope. In Southern CA, where I’m from, there’s absolutely no hope whatsoever.
2. Mail. Postcards or handmade cards. Stickers of any type (they don’t have to still be in the packaging). Little handmade stuff. Foreign or unusual coins or bills (That's a biggie, since I collect them.) Anything, really. I get so little mail. :-( (Note: I don’t promise I’ll write back though. I’m really bad at that. I’m working on getting better, though).
3. Books. Any at all, but my favorite genre is fantasy.
4. Sponsor a child through
World Vision. It's an amazing program. For just $30 a month, you can provide so much for a child. And it's personal, too! You get to choose the child you want to sponsor, and you can write to him or her and get responses back. I know $30 may seem like a lot to some of you, but if you think about it, it’s really not that much. It amounts to just about $1 a day (equivalent to like two cups of Starbucks a week). If even that seems like too much, they have another program where you can give a needed Christmas gift to a child or family. There are a variety of gifts to choose from (including a wheelchair for just $14).
5. My wallet was stolen about a month ago, so some things to replace what I lost: Cash (the one time I was carrying a lot of it…), giftcards (BestBuy, OldNavy, Starbucks), donations to replace some of the other things I lost. And of course, a wallet.
6. A good, real-life friend here in Texas (or even in CA).
7. A Wicked (the musical) T-shirt. The standard black one, with "Wicked" on the front and "Defy Gravity" on the back, in size small. It's perfectly fine if it's already been worn, as long as it's in good condition and still wearable.
8. A car. Anything that works. I don’t have one here in Texas, and it’s really hard.
9. Look under the archives of this community. Find a person who posted their wishlist at least two days ago, and still hasn't had a wish granted, at least according to the comments. Or if you can't find someone with no comments for some reason, find someone with only one or two. Grant a wish for them. (If you do it secretly, it's even better!)
10. Join
LOST. Because it’s fun, and I’m addicted to it. I know this it's a kind of stupid request, but it probably takes the least effort. So pretty please? *puppy eyes*
I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas! God bless!
