Such fun!

I've been poring over wish lists already, noting addresses, pondering over what to send people. I've been part of this community since the beginning and love sending things out to people, especially when I can do it without letting anyone know it's coming. There's just something satisfying about being able to surprise people!

A bit about myself - I'm a 40-something Canadian Harry Potter fan, I work at Blockbuster and love movies, books and traveling.

My wishlist:

1. Postcards or photos of your hometown. Sometimes your favourite place isn't somewhere that makes it on to a postcard. I'd love it if you'd share your spot in town with me. Christmas cards are always most welcome. Nothing brightens a cold winter day like opening the mailbox to find a treat!

2. I was going to put anything from Lush on the list, but I've already got as much Lush product as I can use. Instead, I have an easy request. Lush has been running a Fresh Faces contest since this past summer. I've managed to make it all the way to the final round as the representative for my local store. To win the contest, I need votes. If you could vote for me in the contest, I'd really appreciate it. You can vote once a day until December 9th. Voting can be done here: http://ca.lush.com/cgi-bin/lushdb/ffvote/zoom2.html?vid=5The contest is now closed. Thanks to everyone who granted this wish and voted for me!

3. Handmade Christmas ornaments. Nearly everything on my tree is handmade, aside from the lights and the tree-topper. If you're a crafty person, I'd love to add an example of your handiwork to my tree.

4. Anything Harry Potter related - especially Lego, or books in other languages. Even if I can't read them, I love having foreign editions.

5. Socks. There's no such thing as too many socks. Warm fuzzy socks, holiday-themed socks, dressy socks I can wear to work. I'm not fussy. Standard size 9-11 is what they mark them here in Canada. I wear a size 8 shoe, so pretty much most ladies socks should fit.

6. Books or movies. Anything from my Amazon.ca wishlist: http://www.amazon.ca/gp/registry/wishlist/1WPBRHFVREX0I/ref=cm_wl_sortbar_o_page_1?ie=UTF8&page=1
Or send me a copy of your favourite book or movie! Used books and previously viewed movies are always welcome.

7. Greyhound gift certificates. I like to travel and I don't much like to fly (and don't have a lot of money), so I ride Greyhound nearly everywhere I go. I even took the bus to Las Vegas last summer for a Harry Potter conference (63 hours there, 65 hours back)! I may be crazy, but I also get to meet wonderful people along the way. Next 2 trips planned are San Antonio in February to visit my best friend and Chicago in August for another Harry Potter conference.

8. Fill some wishes for my daughter. I introduced her to this community a couple years ago and I know she's had fun granting wishes. Her wishlist is here: http://community.livejournal.com/holiday_wishes/1028698.html

9. Candles. I burn a lot of candles. Any colour or scent welcome.

10. Surprise me! Anything you think I might enjoy.

My address is:
Sheryll Townsend
