Hisoka hung around close to Chen. He had never been asked by someone to hang around Hogsmeade before... usually, when he took these trips, he went to see his adoptive parents, Terry and Jack, who lived on the other side of town away from all the shops. But Chen had really liked that Gryffindor girl and he looked really upset when he asked Hisoka to go to Hogsmeade with him, sooo... well. He hoped Terry and Jack wouldn't be hurt. He'd be seeing them next week on holiday anyway.
"Where would you like to go?" he asked timidly and submissively, smiling at this person who he might actually be able to call his friend. Friends did things like this together, didn't they? Hisoka didn't really know. He'd never had one.
"Do you have... do you have shopping you need to do for brother?" he asked, eyes big when he thought about the other Takurai who he wasn't so fond of-- he was loud, and sometimes mean, and he hung around that big blonde boy, Bacchus Donovan who always hit the Bludgers really hard at Hisoka during Qudditch.
Chen giggled a bit at Hisoka's question. He was so cute! Sometimes he just wanted to keep him in his pocket forever. Chen rubbed his hands together again before blowing warm breath onto them.
"Hmmm... I think I would like to buy a scarf for my mother, maybe. Twillfit and Tatting's first, then?"
Chen was about to grab both of Hisoka's hands in his own and skip away, until his brother was brought into the conversation. He felt his insides bunch up, and he furrowed his brow a bit. Oh yes, he was definitely still mad at Kazu. He didn't know how long this anger was going to last, but for now, he didn't even want to think about him.
"Oh no, I wouldn't want to waste my time on him," Chen replied. "He's not even worth it, the git."
The words came out of his mouth before he really thought about them, but he meant them. Ugh, that idiot Kazu.
"But let's go, Hi-chan! I think the scarfs might be on sale, actually..." Chen continued, smiling brightly at his shopping companion.
Sensing that his friend (he liked that word) was upset at the mention of his brother, Hisoka's face creased with a frown. He reached out and took Chen's hands, with a small pout.
"Senpai," he said, sweetly following along to Twillfit and Tatting's obediently. "Why are you mad at onii-chan?" he asked, curiously. If Chen was upset, he wanted to make sure that Kazu hadn't been too mean to him. "What did he say to you?" he asked, with big, doleful eyes, gripping Chen's hands closely and trying to keep them warm.
He would also like to buy some scarves... maybe that's what he'd get Terry and Jack for Christmas! That was what he usually got them and they always seemed to like them, so why not?
Chen smiled at Hisoka's concern (and at the fact that he took his hands). He gripped his friend's hand in response and laughed a bit.
"Oh, he's just being his stupid self," Chen sighed. "It's all his fault that Lou's gone, anyway. And then he tries to be this chivalrous jerk and--"
After rambling for a bit, he shook his head. What was he doing!? Good lord, he left the castle to get away from all of this. To be honest, he wanted nothing more than to do some intense scarf shopping with Hisoka.
"Oh, it's nothing, Hi-chan," he laughed. "As long as he doesn't say anything stupid to you I'll be fine."
Chen smiled at Hisoka again before tugging on his hands a bit, leading him to the chic store, Twillfit and Tatting's. His mother always wanted a pretty scarf, but Chen never had the chance to get her anything, so now was his chance!
He would probably end up spending a lot of money here, but that wasn't too bad, right?
