First guitar lesson was moks. I learnt a bit about some stuff and some other stuff, but nothing overly concrete. Have some things that I should do a bit more before next Sunday so I can actually hold the strings for a reasonable length of time :P ( Read more... )

money in your hat? arab, no less? because you don't get stopped enough in airports? :P

but now i am curious, what kind of riyal? highest valued currencies in the world include kuwait dinar, bahrain dinar, and oman rial.

Saudi riyal, I chose based on the GDP of the Arabian Peninsula countries :p

The money in the hat is to make the experience of getting stopped more interesting :p

If you know of any country which would be especially shifty currency wise let me know :D

I would recommend the Romanian lion ("leu"), but I don't think it would like being put in a Russian hat ;)

If you can get some Armenian Drams, or Georgian Lari, those would work quite well! They're used to having been part of Russia(n hats?)!

Unfortunately obscure Caucasian curriencies seem difficult to obtain here. Or anywhere. It's maybe good that I traded out all that Lari (at way below value) before I left Eastern Turkey, or else it would have been impossible to change.

Then again, it would have been a pretty good souvineer. That I could sell to you. For use in a hat.

There is in fact a statue of Lenin in seattle. I've seen it! I've been kilted adjacent to it!

And Ally still needs to give me those photos!
