I started doing rock climbing awhile back. One of the guys I work with (Daniel) does a lot of rock climbing and he and Kat got me started. I stick to bouldering for the most part. I got my lillypad and el-wire sequencer from sparkfun ftw :) I also got some el-wire as well :p I'm going to put some in halloween costume and some on raver pants for the win :) I've got an accelerometer and a temperature sensor as well as a mic, and I'm going to try and use the inputs from the three to control the blinking in some fashion ( Read more... )

Its been warming up in Seattle. Last night we had a small craft/code ninjaing, but even with all the windows and door propped open it got quite hot. We didn't manage to ninja the stuff, but we got pretty far with the simulator. It was a lot of fun, but I'm still recovering(ish) from the sleep debt [although I imagine tonight's long night won't help].

This long weekend was good times. Hacked some code, visited a shitty 8-bit concertish thing, and played starcraft. Also had a surprise visit from an out-of-town, so got to break out the airbed again :) Not to mention hear hilarious stories about law :p ( Read more... )

Omnonomnom. First rescue cd I downloaded was 32-bits, but second time was the charm and I got my delicious boot loader back. I suppose that teaches me to upgrade windows without checking to make sure I have a working rescue cd first :p ( Read more... )

The company party was sort of meh. I did manage to get a picture with our glorious leader, and distribute glowsitcks, and hang out with Waterloo people so that was cool.
