Rock climbing, SF, etc.

I started doing rock climbing awhile back. One of the guys I work with (Daniel) does a lot of rock climbing and he and Kat got me started. I stick to bouldering for the most part. On the days when I wake up early enough that I am not going to be super late for work I go to Mission Cliffs and boulder before work, its pretty relaxing.

This week I have some friends from Canada staying with me. The first of the two air beds we tried ended up being more sort of a ball-shape rather than an actual bed, but thankfully I had a second airbed (and a foof!), so victory. They seem to be exploring parts of the city I have not yet visited, but I suppose thats often the way with getting settled into routines. On a random note: while I was digging up stuff for guest pandas, I found my pika outfit that I obtained with the intention of joining pikatroupe. So far 100% of people poled say it is not an appropriate work outfit, except for like Halloween or similar :(

I've also started doing pole dance class at the only place in town that I could find that explicitly allows for men. Its pretty fun, although I have managed to bang my self up a fair bit doing it.

Headed to NYC tomorrow for happy pandas and work sauce, hopefully the hotel room is a bit bigger than last time :p I'm also going a side trip to Portland on the weekend which should be interesting, I've only spent a few days there before but it was enjoyable.

On that note work continues to be mostly enjoyable and fairly busy. Some personality conflict pandas are a bit more trixie in a small office compared to my past experiences. I'm trying to put together a response to a CFP for a conference, my odds aren't great but I figure its good practice using words that are not "panda" or "stabbings" to explain what I'm working on to other people.

Craft projects haven't really been getting as much love as intended, work pandas have been keeping me pretty busy. I'm going to try and resurrect the regular craft & code nights I used to run in Seattle so that I have some dedicated non-clubbing non-working time :) I did some decorating on my new messenger bag, which will hopefully help me stand out a bit biking back from work late at night.
