Grinning, Lily leaned over and kissed Cox lightly. "Oh, come on," she murmured. "It'll be fun. Tell you what. If I must strip - which I'm not planning to, by the way - you can choose what I take off." Then, wrinkling her nose and laughing softly, she kissed him again. "And you think about me naked? Now that's just the sweetest thing you've said to me all day." Sitting back in her chair, Lily hooked her leg across Cox's lap and gave him a cheeky grin. "So, are you going to play, or are you just going to watch me own these two," she gestured towards Sirius and Yang with her glass.

Sirius earned himself a glower, and Lily rolled her eyes. "Right. New rule. Only those who have consensually seen me naked get to bring it up in conversation. Oh, and no more talking about how brilliant my boyfriend is in bed - it's a fact, we've stated it, moving on." Giving Sirius a pointed look, she continued, "Just for the record, also, I'd always rather have you play some silly prank than spy on me naked. For future reference, in case you ( ... )

Yang discarded everything except the pair of nines in her hand and by dint of luck, managed to pick up another nine. Grinning cockily (and somewhat drunkenly), she replied, "Nah, I think I'd rather see the guys naked; how about you, Lily?"

"Oh, probably," she agreed with Cox cheerfully, not looking in the least worried about the inevitable retribution. Picking up her cards, Lily nearly laughed, though she kept her expression carefully smug. A two of clubs, five of diamonds, three of hearts, king of hearts, and a jack of clubs. Absolutely nothing. Brilliant. Going shirtless nearly for sure, this time ( ... )

Normally, Cox might have complained about the obvious cheating on Lily's part, but as far as he was concerned the more clothes she wore the better. Still, as he picked up his own cards and realized that he was definitely beating Lily on this hand -- he had himself a nice fat full house -- he couldn't help but be a little smug. It was more about showing Little Miss Hubris next to him up than anything else; after all, like she herself said, he could see her without clothes whenever he liked.

"Oh, you ask for whatever you want, honey," he replied cheerfully, eyeing his cards with a smirk that faded just slightly when she complimented Sirius. His eyes darted over to the Animagus, narrowing a bit. Grr.

"Would you have preferred I say you would be a master of Bullshit? I was being generous there, Evans." Sirius rocked his chair further back and stared at Lily, trying to unnerve her a little. It also kept him from ogling Yang and Cox, the former because as much of a cad as Sirius could be, he truly respected women (and men...most of the time...) and didn't want to be a complete prick, and the latter because as much as he liked to push Cox's buttons, he didn't fancy being on the receiving end of Cox's wrath.

Sirius smirked at Lily's joke about taking his trousers - WHAT a terrible, gloating winner she was! - but his expression darkened slightly when Lily had to go and talk about leaving Cox's trousers for later and having free passes and not passing up opportunities. For Merlin's sake, it wasn't like he was sitting there bragging about the next time he'd play Jenga with Homsar or the next time Homsar would shank his Jengaship. It was just plain gratuitous ( ... )

"You should really stop 'complimenting' Black, Lily," Yang said in a mock-serious tone, "Because I don't think he could get any redder."

Gleefully, she laid down her cards and added, "Three of a kind."

Well, bugger. Once Sirius' cards had flipped, Lily knew she was done. Ah, well. Tossing her own hand onto the table, Lily tugged all three shirts off and tossed them into the box. "Merlin, it's a good thing I'm wearing a bra today, yeah?" she grinned cheekily at Cox, stretching her arms over her head before relaxing back into her chair. She was actually wearing one of her favourite bras - red and lacy and, she thought, very pretty.

She'd caught Sirius' blush and laughed a little when Yang commented on it. "How can I help myself?" she replied seriously. "He's hot. Have to face facts." Continuing to tease Sirius, Lily smiled at him, "And I am rather a good bullshitter, aren't I? You'd be better at Pig - also known as Tongue or Spoon, but I rather think the first name suits better, don't you ( ... )

As Cox was busy glaring at Sirius, he most definitely caught the little flush that passed across the Animagus's face. He heard Yang and Lily's comments, but only distantly, as they were abruptly drowned out by the sudden crowd in his own head. Sirius was blushing? He'd known the guy for, what, five or six months now, and he hadn't even thought he was capable of that. Sirius hadn't even blushed when they were actually having sex. So this came as a fairly unpleasant surprise for Cox, who had already been feeling cranky and jealous.

Sirius glaring at him was the last straw. For a moment, he struggled between stalking off in a huff or staying and pushing Sirius's buttons in the hopes of picking a fight, which he was becoming increasingly in the mood to do. Lily kissing him only made things more complicated; he had been so distracted by Sirius that he hadn't even noticed she was now shirtless. Well, that was no longer okay, for sure.

Lily seemed clueless, though, and if she didn't get what was going on, he didn't really want to draw ( ... )

((Yes, I now realise Sirius did not actually have two pair, but rather a single pair. I = teh suck.))

Fan-FUCKING-tastic. Thanks, Yang, for pointing out the blushy blushy. Just what the doctor ordered: a prescription for humiliation. Take two the first night and call me in the morning. At this point, an enema was more appealing. Wunderbar.

And then Lily's shirt came off, and Sirius did his utmost not to look, because that was just all levels of wrong right there. Unfortunately, he glanced up at her further goading and caught a full glimpse, which, along with her continued complimenting, only made the skin-heat thing worse.

Okay, these were not thoughts he was even going to acknowledge, let alone entertain. Lily's boobs? Not up for introspection. Not one, not the both of them. Despite how nice they looked in her red lacy bra. Off limits, because she was James's wife, and that was WRONGWRONGWRONG.

Sirius's skin felt as if it were burning. "It's the alcohol," he mumbled. "Don't flatter yourself." He didn't even bother addressing the ( ... )

Yang gave Sirius a disgusted look- she actually did think he was going to go beat off somewhere. Two topless women around and he randomly gets up from the table to go of somewhere and piss? Yeah, right.

"Oh sure, yeah, that's what you're going to go do- I believe you, Black," Yang said sarcastically.

Right. Apparently Lily had missed something. Sobering up fairly quickly as she glanced from Cox to Sirius and back again, concern evident in her eyes, Lily nodded. "Of course, Ginger," she smiled a little, uncertain, and stood up. Quickly summoning over the shirts from the box, Lily handed Cox his and tossed Yang her sweater. Sirius' shirt she held out; when he reached out for it, Lily squeezed his hand gently, an open question in her eyes. He was running off to the loo? What in Merlin's name was going on? Then she pulled her own shirt back on and turned back to Cox.

"You do realize," she told him, taking his hand and moving closer to him, "that I really didn't understand one word you just said beyond 'walking Steeler', yeah?" An attempt for levity when Lily suddenly felt as if all the tension in the world had decided to make its home in the common room. Lily's expression was one of clear bewilderment until, like a brick, realization hit her and her face fell. Oh, MerlinBecause Sirius and Cox were - apart from Harry - ( ... )

As sensitive as Cox was to the Lily/Sirius situation at the moment, he didn't exactly miss it when Lily reached for Sirius's hand. He'd thought Sirius shooting him dirty looks had been the last straw -- he hadn't realized there was another one to follow, but there it was, staring him in the face.

When she returned to him, he let her take his hand out of sheer force of habit, but he didn't really respond, and she could probably sense the tension in his body. Jaw clenched taut, he stared at Sirius for a long moment, only looking away when Lily apologized to him. He blinked down at her, then scowled and broke away, pulling back. He didn't know why she was apologizing any more than she did, but in his current state, the mere admission of guilt, of any guilt, only made him angrier.

"Forget it," he muttered hoarsely, holding his hands up as he stepped back from her. His eyes darted to Sirius, then back to Lily, and he shook his head with an angry little growl, dropping his hands. "Just... forget it." Turning, he stalked for the door.

Sirius stopped and turned towards Yang. "Do you wanna come with me and witness for yourself?"

Now he was feeling worked up, and that often led to outlandish behaviour on his part. This situation was apparently no exception.

He reached out to take his shirt from Lily, and then her hand was on his, squeezing it, and he felt even more embarrassed, because his problem was clearly related to her in some way, because his heart was pounding, and that was not cool.

And Lily was still topless. Bollocks. Being very careful to keep his eyes on hers (as much as he wanted to look away, he didn't want to accidentally get an eyeful of boobs wrapped in pretty red lace), he returned her look with a sort of blank stare. "Nature calls," he said simply. "Happens to the best of us."

He watched her go over to Cox (thankfully, she had put her shirt back on!), entirely confused over what had just transpired and why everyone was upset...especially he himself. Unfortunately, he felt himself growing even pricklier at the mention of Steeler, whose ... )

"Did you- did you just-," Yang sputtered at Sirius incredulously. "Did you just ask me to make out with you in the bathroom? Are you insane?"

She looked from Sirius to Lily and then to Cox and then back at Sirius. "What the hell is going on here? Is there-?," she gestured back and forth between Sirius and the other two, "-Something going on here? Because seriously, what the hell? Are you sleeping with one of them-," she pointed at Cox and Lily, though she was obviously addressing Sirius, "Or do you just want to?"

Throwing out her arms in exasperation, Yang finally exclaimed, "Seriously!"

And then it all went to pieces. If Lily had been confused before, it was nothing compared to what she was now. Blinking widely as Cox pulled away, her brow furrowed slightly as she struggled to work out exactly what had just happened. "Perry," she said, hand reaching out to him before her eyes narrowed. Wait. What the bloody hell was he mad about, now?

If there was one thing Lily hated, it was not understanding. It was the thing that drove her to spend hours in research, it made her an excellent student, and it was also the reason her temper - her sodding temper - flared at this moment. Cox wanted to stomp off like some bloody sprog who'd had his toy taken away? Fine. She was sodding sick of running after him, and she hadn't done anything. Lily didn't mind fighting, obviously, but she would prefer to know what the fuck she was fighting about.

Sirius wasn't helping. At all. Going on about making out in loos with sodding Yang instead of talking like a normal person. He was acting insane and short with her and Lily was ( ... )

Despite his anger, Cox reluctantly stopped when Lily called after him, turning around just in time to catch her tantrum. He felt a twinge of shame as she smashed the table, and another of guilt when he saw the tears in her eyes, but he was in no mood to deal with even a happy Lily -- much less a furious one. He groaned inwardly as she stormed out and closed his eyes, knocking a fist against his forehead. Dammit, dammit, dammit.

His focus returning to the room at large, Cox now found himself alone with Yang and Sirius. He realized, suddenly, that now that Lily was gone he could confront Sirius as he liked, but his mun something held him back. Gritting his teeth, he made himself disregard Sirius and gave Yang a serious look. "Bonesaw, for your own sake, get out while you still canWith that, he turned to go, but couldn't resist a parting word for Sirius; even the sight of the Animagus's face as he went for the door filled him, right now, with an absolute rage. With a heated glare, he pointed warningly at the Animagus. "Watch it," he ( ... )
