He's glad, at least, that he's got his briefcase and harmonica, and that there doesn't appear to be a force of cops waiting for him

Hey, if it'd be all right and I can find the guys, I'm sure it'd work.

*pulls out a can from the briefcase* This is a spray can. Filled with enough propane under a whole lot of pressure to do some serious damage. It's been useful in a number of our, er, escapades.

Elwood blinks at the sight of the cat, then looks at his watch. He is somewhat reluctant to give it up, but he did make the offer. "Yeah? You, ah, sure there ain't anything else you might want?"

Um," Mungojerrie considers what else the shady man can offer. Then, he spots his suitcase. "What else do ya got in there?"

"Couple of aerosal spray cans, and..." Well, huh. He isn't about to give away the harmonica, and he needs the keys. He's still carrying a number of quarters. "Maybe some change?" Hell, it's shiny and it jingles; might work.

"Good evening, Mr. Blues! It sounds as though you, erm, relocated untended objects. Is that your primary occupation?"

"Well, hey, I wouldn't have guessed that." Elwood blinks, interested if confused. "And I play the blues harp. Mostly blues, rhythm and blues, and soul."
