Dieter Mr Prohl Dieter:

Whenever you like. I am most eager to hear of this game tennis of which I have such odd yet fond memories, and to learn of your time as a tennis player of which I also have such odd yet fond memories.

I wonder whether Miss Sidle has yet commissioned that sauna...

Mr. Maturin,

Is Tuesday at five good? I would be more than happy to share my tennis stories.

Not yet, sadly. It is such a relaxing pastime.

Dieter,

Tuesday at five is excellent. I wonder whether I ought to buy a racquet.

Perhaps you should give her a nudge in that regard.

Dieter ~

I'm always happy to help out. This Tuesday at after dinner in the Ravenclaw common room work for you?

I'll bring a couple of books on wand positions that should assist us.

Lily,

Sadly, I am having drinks with a friend someone Tuesday afternoon. Does Wednesday work for you?

I look forward to seeing the books. Do they have illustrations? That helps me learn better than plain text.

Dieter,

Wednesday would be fine. I'll meet you in the common room.

They do, indeed, have pictures. And they're wizard pictures, which means they move around. Much better than just words.

Don't forget to oil your wand beforehand. It makes it easier to handle - you need a flexible wand for charm work.

((I've heard his wand is rather hard. He may need your help to make it more . . . flexible.))

No I don't think we did. I'm Peyton. And yes, you pick the time and place.

Peyton,

Will Tuesday morning work? We will have to improvise on finding a court, but I think the Quidditch pitch will work.

Sure thing! I could read up on a charm which could offer a net if you want. But I'm still quite new on the magic.

Peyton,

That would be great. I'm looking forward to our game.

Dieter

P.S. You mentioned a friend named Brooke. Do you think she would mind if I owled her? She sounded very interesting.

Dawn gulped a little when she got Dieter's owl. She sweated a bit, redid her hair three times, and then set quill to parchment.

A half hour later, a full dozen replies (mostly badly-written) were in the trashcan, and Dawn gave up. Eighteen and undersexed, she thought, rubbing her face with her hands. I either need to Get Some, or stop crushing on guys who are out of my league. Or too old. She had an involuntary thought about Methos. Or way the *hell* too old. From now on, no crushing on guys over 20.

She could almost hear her hormones laughing at her.
