Closed RP: Byakuya and Gin

May 02, 2006 20:30

Gin strolled down the dreary stone corridors of Hogwarts. He had a few more things he planned to do soon, and the one he was most looking forward to was to track down Byakuya and harass him a little. It was just like old times, running into the other shinigami while out walking in Seireitei ( Read more... )

Byakuya's scowl formed the moment Gin was in sight. He then immediately felt confused and disoriented, and paused to touch the wall in order to steady himself. Why did he want to appear unfriendly, especially with someone so familiar to him? There had surely been a valid reason, but it was like a half-remembered dream one struggles to make sense of. He wasn't sure what to do besides stare.

"Hello~, Byakuya!" Gin gave his normal cheerful greeting upon seeing the other shinigami. Ah, it really was just like old times. Having not immediately picked up on Byakuya's internal distress, he sauntered over. "And how are you doing this fine day, hmm?"

His expression became less severe and turned almost friendly, as if Gin's presence was welcome this time. The greeting was returned with some uncertainty, however. "Hello." A long pause. "Gin."

He continued to stare.

This was different. But it could be anything. Gin cocked his head slightly to the side, trying to recall what exactly he'd done recently that Byakuya might have heard of that would cause this kind of staring. There were so many things. So he gave up and decided to simply forge ahead.

"Is there something the matter, Sixth-Division-Captain-san?" he asked, being oh-so-formal with that familiar mocking lilt to his voice. "If you keep staring like that, your face will freeze that way, you know. And then I'll be forced to call you Goldfish-san~."

Byakuya attempted to shift onto his side, only to find something impeding his movements. He was dimly aware of the warm, solid weight against him and it made him reluctant to try moving again, thinking he'd drifted into a pleasant dream of the past. He didn't often dream, and when he did they tended not to be anything as welcome as this one. He wanted to hold onto it while he could ( ... )

Gin made a noncomittal noise, and with his face still buried in the pillow, reached with one fumbling hand out to try to find the sheets. The happily warm body next to his had suddenly vanished, and now without the sheets, his ass was getting cold.

There was something he should be remembering around now, he thought muzzily. But he'd had the most wonderful dream.. oh, wait. He turned his head to the side and cracked one eye open just far enough to confirm. Byakuya looked quite nice in the morning too, he decided, all tousled and with a couple bite marks in the most interesting places. So Gin rolled onto his side (certain muscles left unused for so long complained at him) and took the time to enjoy the sight.

"Good morning, Byakuya," he smiled lazily, followed by a long yawn. "D'you think I could have my sheets back?"

Through the haze of confusion and pain it dawned on him that they were both stark naked, the decor of the room was all wrong for Ravenclaw, and the soreness extended to his entire body, including some highly suspicious areas.

Predictably, he was horrified. And looked a little green. "If this is your idea of a joke..."

There was a chance the sickness would be limited to his false body. Hauling a naked, empty body back to his own room and risking the entire school witnessing it was far preferable to having to spend one moment longer in Gin's presence. He made a few odd jerking motions, trying ineffectually to get out of his gigai.

"A joke? If I remember correctly, you were the one who was quite insistent last night," Gin smiled, more than happy to omit his own part in the horrors of magical-chocolate-induced amour. Unfortunately, his body was also more than happy to suggest another round this morning, belying his omission, and Byakuya had stolen his sheets. Gin rolled back onto his stomach to hide the evidence. Byakuya didn't seem as interested anymore, unfortunately.

"What did happen to you, I wonder." Gin kept half an eye on Byakuya's movements, not exactly tense, but certainly keeping in mind where he'd dropped Shinsou.
