Closed RP: Byakuya and Gin

May 02, 2006 20:30

Gin strolled down the dreary stone corridors of Hogwarts. He had a few more things he planned to do soon, and the one he was most looking forward to was to track down Byakuya and harass him a little. It was just like old times, running into the other shinigami while out walking in Seireitei ( Read more... )

Byakuya attempted to shift onto his side, only to find something impeding his movements. He was dimly aware of the warm, solid weight against him and it made him reluctant to try moving again, thinking he'd drifted into a pleasant dream of the past. He didn't often dream, and when he did they tended not to be anything as welcome as this one. He wanted to hold onto it while he could.

A short time later, the dull aching in his temples brought him unwillingly to full consciousness, and he pressed a hand to his forehead as he struggled to sit up. The light in the room only worsened the pain, so he kept his eyes shut and blindly felt for the edge of the bed. His hand encountered a body that most definitely wasn't his own.

A glance was all it took to confirm whose body it was, and Byakuya was scrambling out of bed as fast as he could. Grace abandoned him, he simply fell from the bed, landing heavily on the floor and taking the tangled sheets with him. About that time the magicked chocolate-induced hangover fully hit, the dull ache bloomed into a migraine, and severe nausea ensured he wouldn't be standing anytime soon.

"What--" Why was his voice so hoarse? He rubbed his throat, and tried to sound indignant. "What are you doing here?"

Gin made a noncomittal noise, and with his face still buried in the pillow, reached with one fumbling hand out to try to find the sheets. The happily warm body next to his had suddenly vanished, and now without the sheets, his ass was getting cold.

There was something he should be remembering around now, he thought muzzily. But he'd had the most wonderful dream.. oh, wait. He turned his head to the side and cracked one eye open just far enough to confirm. Byakuya looked quite nice in the morning too, he decided, all tousled and with a couple bite marks in the most interesting places. So Gin rolled onto his side (certain muscles left unused for so long complained at him) and took the time to enjoy the sight.

"Good morning, Byakuya," he smiled lazily, followed by a long yawn. "D'you think I could have my sheets back?"

Through the haze of confusion and pain it dawned on him that they were both stark naked, the decor of the room was all wrong for Ravenclaw, and the soreness extended to his entire body, including some highly suspicious areas.

Predictably, he was horrified. And looked a little green. "If this is your idea of a joke..."

There was a chance the sickness would be limited to his false body. Hauling a naked, empty body back to his own room and risking the entire school witnessing it was far preferable to having to spend one moment longer in Gin's presence. He made a few odd jerking motions, trying ineffectually to get out of his gigai.

"A joke? If I remember correctly, you were the one who was quite insistent last night," Gin smiled, more than happy to omit his own part in the horrors of magical-chocolate-induced amour. Unfortunately, his body was also more than happy to suggest another round this morning, belying his omission, and Byakuya had stolen his sheets. Gin rolled back onto his stomach to hide the evidence. Byakuya didn't seem as interested anymore, unfortunately.

"What did happen to you, I wonder." Gin kept half an eye on Byakuya's movements, not exactly tense, but certainly keeping in mind where he'd dropped Shinsou.

Horror gave way to confusion once more, which led to anger, as all things involving Gin inevitably did. He eventually got free of his gigai, which slumped to the floor as he stood. He quickly started to gather what clothes of his he could see, not caring if he left something behind. "What did you do to me?" he asked, not expecting the truth. "A pity you're unarmed."

Attacking an unarmed man after evidently having had an encounter or ten with him seemed too dishonourable, no matter how angry Byakuya felt. Spotting the other zanpakutou, he kicked it across the floor toward the bed and gave Gin a look, daring him to pick it up.

Gin pulled himself to the edge of the bed and, keeping his attention on Byakuya, reached down towards his zanpakutou with a smile... and past it to grab the sheets.

He pulled them back up to cover himself and sat up on the edge of the bed, with the sheets draped across his lap and down over his bony knees. "Oh, you don't remember? Well, once we got on the bed and you started sucking on my..." One look at Byakuya's face was enough for Gin to decide that was the wrong way to take this little conversation, even if he was still unarmed.

Gin chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck, admitting, "Oh, you mean your sudden -and quite forceful- interest? I really had nothing to do with it."

Adding that if he'd been responsible for the sudden change of character, Byakuya would still be in bed with him, was more than he cared to admit aloud.

Gin had by then had two fairly easy opportunities to kill him -- in Soul Society, and when he'd been asleep -- but hadn't taken either. It bothered Byakuya almost as much as the thought of... those things he really didn't want to think about any longer.

Yet, even knowing what he'd done with Gin, having to wonder if he'd been forced to was more troubling. He had sincere doubts about Gin being able to overpower him in any way (unless- no, not thinking about that), and in the end, that was what saved the former captain from getting bound and dragged off campus right then.

Clothes gathered under an arm, gigai over his shoulder, he opened the door and paused there. "You wasted a good opportunity." And left.

Gin waited until Byakuya had closed the door and smiled to himself. "I really don't think so," he said to himself, happily. "I really don't think so."

He got up, stretched, and gathered his towels, wrapping one around his waist. Gin felt long overdue for a nice, relaxing bath after all that activity -- and quite frankly, he really needed to wash off too. So with a happy little smirk, he made sure to bring the rubber duck he got from Stephen not so long ago, and a few minutes after Byakuya left, he too departed the room.
